  1. Practice mate. nothing else to it really. keep messing around with sounds. Layering sounds gives them a fuller richness about them. what software are you using?
  2. Learn the proper way. =D> I use vinyl and traktor but much prefer having tracks on vinyl. Traktor is good because obviously not everything is released on vinyl these days. Good for unreleasaed stuff you may pick up from soundcloud or that.
  3. Only difference between the one and two's are the headbands, and the cable. Drivers are still the same Thats not strictly true though. There are differences in the nominal impedance, frequency response, max sound pressure level etc.. Not huge differences but not the same.
  4. My favourite bit of Drum & Bass ever.
  5. The thing with inspiration is you can't tell someone where to get it. What might be inspiring to me might be rubbish to you or vice versa. i don't realy know what inspires me... I've just got a deep love for electronic music and find producing to be more rewarding than DJ'n. there's nothing better than dropping one of your own tunes and it going down well. Like mitch said the best place to start is to decide what production software you want to learn. Browse youtube and see what one looks like suit your creativity. Personnally I use ableton along with a few bits of hardware. Love the simplicity for editing in abelton but I can't just stare at a screen all the time. I need buttons and knobs to fiddle with.
  6. Really fancy one of these little units. Would be fantastic for being on the road. http://www.teenageengineering.com/products/op-1 There's youtube video's kicking about that show you what it can do.
  7. So your talking about a PA? If so i'm out. Don't have the knowledge to help on that one.
  8. Do you want monitors for DJ'n or for production? or for both?
  9. sounds like you need a few disco biscuits.
  10. I use my launchpad to control clips in abelton and to 'play' my tetra as its only a desktop synth. One thing I highly recommend you get is the launchpad step sequencer http://uk.novationmusic.com/community/n ... sequencer/ opens up a whole new dimension to the launchpad and allow you to create nice arrpegios and what not. you can also use the user 2 function and MIDI map it to control whatever you want in live such as filters, delays etc... you can also use it as a midi controller for other programs. Can even use it with Traktor, however, I tried and failed to set that up. haven't tried again since.
  11. shoulda dropped the Leftfield - Not Forgotten bootleg instead.
  12. HD 25's can handle the bumps. I take mine on the plane all the time.
  13. no no no... it's a laptop and a stand for $29. now that's crazy.
  14. dont have sound... does that tell me the cost difference?
  15. whats the price difference to the full maschine? and does maschine work well with other devices or is it a pretty closed unit studio software?
  16. or eat something.
  17. go where?
  18. i'm amazed that works. I dont mean to cause offence here but using the level meters on the mixer has to be the roughest way I've ever heard to 'beatmatch'. as long as it works for you i guess.
  19. lulz and audio 8 and kp3 audio 8 doesnt count as it's only a soundcard.
