When i do mashups i will load the original track of the acapella in the arrangement as well. So i can determine the tempo, key and placement/beginning of the acapella relative to the bar. Else you can gauge by ear but most acapellas will still work better going off their placment in the original track the acapella if from.

Also the easiest way to collab is to bounce stems across so your daw becomes irrelevant really l.

Mmm interesting issue there. Were your USB's 3.0 by any chance? As far as i know 8302 is primarily a link issue, i have experience when playing off the laptop via pro dj link. The link doesn't seem that great on cdj 900s tbh, have found it fine on 2000s though. Would suggest using two usbs next time you play on 900s.

wouldnt i trip the circuit breaker? or at least have to reset the power boards? You generally only trip from a large abnormal surge (from my limited memory), in my old room i was overdrawing and things like my bright lamp would get dimmer if i had it all going, would notice a few pops and whatnot from my speakers too.
