great starter would be mixtrack pro. i got one and it was one of the best to start off with. its bigger but you have room to move around instead of breaking your fingers trying to press multiple buttons. the Hercules doesn't have a sound card which is a deal breaker for me, the mixtrack pro does have a sound card. unless you want to fork out a little more for a external sound card, i'd suggest going with the mixtrack pro.

just have to be careful. a lot of the first and later gen SSD's were shockingly bad. for $60, makes for some fun uses. might think about getting one next pay if any of you are geeks, think about an SSD for a RAM drive

could be that your laptop is having DNS issues or gateway problems. try disabling the wireless adapter and enabling it. have you set the ip address manually or is it automatically getting one from the router?
