  1. not sure if he has time for facebook in between movies but he has a wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Cameron
  2. im sure you heard spank rock but didnt know it was spank rock. especially bump, which was on all radios and all tv shows when it dropped many years ago. the spank rock collective has spawned careers for amanda blank and xxxchange, as well as producer/ djs delvin & darko. who were all artists prior to but allowed the spank rock album yoyoyoyoyoyo to really get out there (or become international as the hippity hoppers say). you may have heard in my last mix (ill embed tonight ) i went from a spank rock to a slop rock remix (very badly). that track was from the spank rock and benny blanco collabo bangers & cash ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangers_%26_Cash ). this was one of the best EPs of all time, of all time. basically benny used samples from 2 live Crew Songs for all the tracks. the spank rock collectives fabric live mix is also my fave fabric live mix of all time http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FabricLive.33 anyways i know you like sounds & pictures so ill youtube bomb it tonight
  3. yo. spank rock along with hoff and blu jemz have put out a mixtape under the moniker mobroder. just google mobroder, its free. freakig awesome. i dl'd a couple weeks ago but didnt get on it till this week and ive played it 3 times already. basically the whole hour plays like a night in the life of mobroder. old school late 70's funk and disco sounds with tye occasional rhyme by spank rock. lots of female vocals too. get at it
  4. nice one jonny. id shout it out but dont know anyone in gold coast
  5. i think it may have been sorted from another thread...
  6. did you check jonnyb's mix? its good. except that cold as ice bit, wasnt really feeling that. but the rest goes off. tried to find his postup, he did post it right or was i dreaming...
  7. aiight. so ive spread the word to the gang, to the youngins at work and to my fam (ive got cuz's ranging 18-36, and im filo so if it gets to the second cousins thats all of blacktown, parra and parts of bankstown ). some have already facebooked it, so hopefully word gets out bro!
  8. yeah man but what you got to remember is with that $105 per piece mark up, they need to pay you, rent, advertising, all other license fees, and then still hopefully earn enuff amongst the owners to cover what they would have earnt working somewhere else (or else its not worth them being there). dont get me wrong, i know the owners will sometimes make heaps (check nick scalis lambo), but they also have bad runs! its like gambling, they taking a hella risk so if you only going to earn what you would doing something else it becomes not worth it. which is why i probbably still working for the man ive modelled a lot of different ventures but the conservative accountant in me has meant ive stayed put. but one day damn you, i will see the light!
  9. come home. nah mate stand there with your iphone in the air record the whole thing, and then blog here while you waiting in those long piss lines that is how you rock a fest!
  10. i think the clip you grabbed must be from some breaks/ dubstep compilation. who knows. but yeah that deekline and wizard remixed album that dropped early last year (or was it 09 ...) had a lot of nice tracks. i also love his old school hip hoppy almost bootleg tracks under the moniker defkline
  11. atraks stage setup has beer holders. nice
  12. fark vevo and your censorship. its youtube dammit
  13. A-trak talks about his first move to production and finally moving to logic. nice little read http://djatrak.com/2011/04/25/how-i-pro ... #more-3627 for those that dont know the song. loved this when it dropped. and ive been a massive kid sis fan since.
  14. UPDATED: changed title rather than starting new thread. yeah yeah i know you hate that shyte cupe but made sense to me
  15. just ask the holmie ruggs to hook you up with this funky mash Milkshake Mash-(Not Finished) by Ruggs
  16. actually when i was taught with dance music count to 8. but yeah same meth as spitfire 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8; 2-2-3-4-5-6-7-8.......4-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 and then start again. so each bit is 4 x 8 anything slower than 100 BPM and then its better to go in 4's
  17. deekline goes alright (or defkline. cant remember which name he uses for breaks)
  18. ha ha i copped lets ride on my last beatport swag. its gots sportyO
  19. i dont think you give under eighteens enuff credit. some of y'all were just eighteen in the last two yrs i was here! there are people that are in the dance scene and those that arent (and will only know dance music frm video hits and today fm). i dont think age plays a part. i was chilling w my niece and nephew a couple of weeks back (16 and almost 15 respectively). and they know garage, dubstep, drumstep, brostep and so on.
  20. external hard drive?
  21. cool. rnb i assume? ill spread the word to the blacktown massive
  22. but why do they only bust some of the mixes? i assume its the big wig labels? i mean all the tracks we use are releases
  23. i started this fred because AUD was about 92 cents. its now 1.09 (on the fx market)! daaayyymm. and no stop in sight. funny the AUD to GBP was moving in time but stalled at 0.65. which sucks balls as i bigg up juno over beatport. but it still works out cheaper by buying in USD on juno.
  24. you cant just plug two pc's via ethernet man, you need a special ethernet. i dont know the technical mumbo jumbo, but i know that an ethernet doesnt have enuff to form a connection. if you have a router just either connect thru that or if you have no cables, create a wireless network and share the drives. EDIT: oh yeah its called a crossover cable if you want to do it without the router. could be different with macs though
  25. where at man? im retired but little cousins still in the scene. ill shout it out for ya and what are those blue ones!!
