i think richos got that? the t62's have a lower torque which just means you will need to adjust going from one tt to another. some of the vets have probably had more experience and can provide more insight, but i have jumped between techs and the ST150's, and while it takes a little adjustment you soon pick it up. you find one second hand or you getting from djw?

yes straight arms can be used on timecode. in regards to the techs, i wouldnt recommend getting a turntable with torque less than a tech 1200. so that will mean get either a tech 1200 or one of the super OEMs (st150's, the american audio one, the vestax one. im sure theres a thread for it somewhere ill link if i come across it).

other than price (which is a massive deciding factor. i.e. buy the best you can afford), the things that get mentioned are: * torque - i would always recommend getting no less than the techs which are on the lower end. * arms - this is debatable and dependent on what you want to do. in summary straights hold better but eat your vinyl (possibly also have some noise). s or curved dont hold as well, have a better sound and are better on your vinyl * pitch range - again this thing is as necessary as you think you may use it. techs from memory have +/- 8%. some go to like +/- 25%, but really the track will sound stupid * quartz locks - which mean that at 33/45/76 the pitch will play exactly that

not really. you have to remember just because they are both made by Native Instruments, how you DJ using traktor is not the same as how you dj with traktor scratch pro. just because awesome has been using traktor with his denon for a number of months now, there would probably be a steep learning curve if he were to come over to my place and try to use tsp with turntables on the otherhand if i were to go over to cupes and have a go on his turnies, the learning curve will be a lot lower. so i think dvs' have nothing to do with controller djing. in fact using an all in one with platters is actually more akin to using cdjs. i.e its the same feel and process.
