-
really? ha ha ha damn that mustve been one bigg mixer
-
oh yeah and for anyone looking for full lengths, amazon is a good source. for one, delivery is about $5. prob gets cheaper as each disc you add.

heyup for all the vinyl users or even just the lovers. its record store day tomorrow. various places are doing thangs. i know obese out at prahran is doing 15% off heaps. record store in syd is doing scratch battles (i think) or something. also its a worldwide event so theres apparently a lot of new releases dropping just for the day. check yer local 3D world streetrag and it has some deets of participants, but it also lists out all the records stores in each city. i didnt realise how many was in syd, but i guess not all do edm or hip hop. in the same vein. any sydney peeps, jb chatty just upped their vinyl game. they use to have one little stand and now have three. maybe not to the levels of world square, but aiight. im actually changing my feeling in buying vinyl, at least for more mainstream releases because the full lengths now come w/ digital download and its not that much more expensive. $5-10. i still wouldnt constantly buy $20 12 inches though.
-
S4 is massive though to use as a mixer with seperate turnies though. or maybe i just have short arms.
-
i cant actually relate to all this commy hate. but then again a 90's commodore was new when i was young, and only the rich families had them ha ha ha
-
man this atmosphere album is the ish. heaps more personal and not more mellow and deep.
-

oh. and my suggestion is for pops and clicks. if its drop outs, then like hobberz said its the driver thing. refer to my previous post, but basically you can use 1.2.7, just dont select any of the drivers. and just download the second to the latest driver. from memory you already did this, so i am assuming you only have clicks...
-
nah man nothing to do with your vinyls, head or dirt. the pops and clicks are a latency thing. if you have any other usb devices plugged in (other than a hard drive) such as a bluetooth or wireless dongle, take it out. and if you can afford not to be facebooking while djing, shut down the onboard wireless card too. this should improve it. if still not good enuff, then keep adjusting the latency until its right. unless you a qbert it should make no audible or physical difference if you increase the latency a bit. even for a joe blow scratcher. if you check my latest mix its clickless, but i listen to some of my older mixes and they too are clicky. all i did was shut down the wireless. i was lucky enuff to not have to play with latency so try it. and my machine is 5 yr old pc.

i just think the maschine is an overkill if you are talking about just setting of effects. as you wil already have transport and hotcue buttons.
-
hey. nothing wrong with ratties. they are part of the jedi lefestyle.
-
there are plenty of pad and knob controllers. akai mpd's, korg make a range. but i thought the S4 has shyte load of knobs. are you sure you just dont need a remap to something more suitable? the S4 is just sending Midi controls to the software. you can assign any of the knobs and buttons to do whatever you like.

oh. so people arent saying: im peaking, r u peaking, i think i can feel it, yeah man, yeah man, i am peaking. i love you guys. group hug then group jumping around. then about an hour later, repeat but with more i love yous then are you peaking. then later in the night start asking why! why are people so mean. why arent things like the old days. why are companies so greedy. why dont parents listen to us. why is their war. then agree on the one thing: no matter what man, i love you.....

oh i thought that was the rap battle. you vs lil mc im bald you bastard thats why i said dont be mean -
i think i said it before, and it doesnt apply to everything, but part of the problem is salary levels. if we are all willing to take paycuts, and hence cut the cost base of all the companies involved in delivering a shop front (property owners, real estate, shippies at the wharf, courier drivers, all other staff), then yes mass importing retail cant compete with people doing it for themselves. the other prob, and anyone in middle to large size business knows, salary levels, rent levels (well in syd) and insurances are all growing at rapid rates most at double digit percentages. and the only way you can keep us is to raise prices. and hence the vicious circle. high prices means people demand higher income.
