  1. cant say its my thang. like the lazers and the glass smashes. the build and drop is epic. production sounds tight. but yeah not my sound but as you know dubsteps not my thang, maybe the odd dubstep remix of a rap track, but not this whole dubstep movemnet.
  2. finally got around to getting onto juno. yours is in the cart, and I let You - Phantom remix.
  3. did this become something else?
  4. okay so im a bit late, just a little. hmmm not really feeling this,. as above you got that looming atmospheric vibe in this track. nicely produced, and nice drums but yeah not really my sound.
  5. man whats that sample at the beginning im trying to pick it? or am i mistaking it for something else. yeah nice and heavy. and nice change up at 1.50, then into the breakdown and build. damn this is club banger mate hands in the air type shyte. another good one mate
  6. fug that hit at 0.36 scared the shit out of me, i wasnt watching the wave form so didnt expect it. love that roboty sound, and the little subtle sounds in the background. awesome vocal sample too.overall very menacing feel. nice chimy break. this has a very holocaust mecha anime feel to it; i.e. technological but with feeling. very different sound from what you nomally do but still an awesome track. i'd buy it! oh and when are you new tracks dropping in the shops?
  7. yip +1 to the way too long intro. the clannng sound was good. nice build at 1.17, really gets ya psyched for the drop. like the nice dirty heavy sound. but did get a little tired of it by 2.30, not enuff happening, maybe needed another clang or breakdown. yeah second hald not so good. didnt really feel as gritty as the first half. its almost like the dj had moved to another mellower song. sorry cant really think of what to suggest you could have done instead, but definitely the first part i was there.
  8. at 0.15 thought you were gonna get all glitchy on us, then when it drops freaking awesome. love that dirty sound of the first phrase. that build from 1.07 was a little plain (only con) but then back to the slowish breakdown into the wobble, gold! and you know i love my vocal samples (1.42). i like it man has a bit of everything in terms of sounds and feel. hijack - that dominique young unique remix is tha shyte!!!! gonna use that for shizure. i went and tracked down the OG, which i ended up really liking but your remix kills. "im a G-A-N-G-S-T-A" im gonna be singing that all fuggin day tomorrow
  9. i was thinking something from the artist tricky

  11. (i didnt know if booty tech was hip hop or more breaky... anyways. And for those that don’t like short transitions or rap just move along, nothing to see here) i did my normal thang of going on the fly, then using the history tab to use the same songs again. on the second time round i couldnt get things to work but thought i had a good set of songs. tried heaps more then walked away as it just not working. i decided to rearrange the songs, that worked better but i still kept stuffing one or two transitions. Thought i had an okay mix so stopped. the next day i figured id do one more rearrangement of songs and tried that and it was better. i tried practicing some transitions and tried to plan where i would drop songs but the prob was while i was in the mix i couldnt always pitch it in time so gave up on the planned drops because it was just too frustrating (the mix is at 130BPM, and only the first song and one other one was at 130, the rest ranged from 128 to 132). i ended up with the mix below which is far from perfect but I was getting mighty tired of trying. seeing as i was trying a lot of new techniques i said what the hell post it up for advice - i was trying to: using the crossfader (which made me f' up the 1st transition as i didnt realise it was closed from the previous try so i missed the first 3 beats, which sucks balls because the 2 songs go so well together), cutting (which ended up sounding horrible ha ha ha), mixing songs which all have vocals, and finally hot dropping live in the mix (I know this is what most people probably do, but in all my other mixes I have been dropping with channel fader down and will let 16 or 32 beats play in the cue just so I can triple check beat matching before bringing the track in, but this time all drops were live). Anywho enuff of the excuses below is the mix and the tracklist, any advice would be awesome especially tip on short mixing and cutting. And be brutal because I know it was far from what I wanted...!
  12. while if you add up all that equip it sounds like a bargain you may be better off using $1K towards a set you want, i.e. CD players or Turnies. because for one those are both 2 channel mixers, and you really wont need both!
  13. ive played with RMP-1 and RMX30 which i guess are the babies of the gear above and yeah they play really good. note though it was the first and only cd players i have ever used (im a turntable person) but pitch control and loops worked well. and the mixers are sweet, i personally own the reloop iq2 and i have to say i think their products are very nice, all faders are smooth and the sounds are very full. but yeah wait for buck too hop on and he can fill you on the RMP-3's
  14. hey mate welcome
  15. dont worry bout it man people always gonna hate. be into what you into.
  16. welcome
  17. oh and did you notice on the amazon japan page if you click the "in english" link, on the splash page is a big advertisement of free shipping. but when you hit the t & cs are in japanese!!!! ha ha. my hiragana and katakana are good but my kanji sucks so theres no way i can read it
  18. dang yer right. i just saw a double mk6 pack for less than $1500 so thats about $744 each. wonder i the dude that sold those 2 MK6 for over 3G did that. even with 100 dollar shipping per deck he couldve easily bought four. sold the other 2 for over 3 G and effectively got his pair for free. nice entrepreneurship. hmmm my nephew and niece are hitting japan this summer wonder if theyre happy to forego any luggage and bring me back a pair. ha ha ha
  19. any cdjs should play time code? edit: to be even more accurate any cd player will play time code
  20. The Native Instruments forums has been down for a couple of days!!! so either the flood of hatemail has crashed it or some pissed off little hacker got to them
  21. man now you totally con fussing. okay i think i gots you. you want to make an entire remix of a single song. that you can then include in yer sets. is that right? then as above fl studio, reason, ableton and logic are some of the more well known ones. people have also used audition and audacity. i also remember some dude on djtt or ni forum using traktor scratch pro. by playing a loop and recording it. then play that on one deck, add more elements on the other deck while recording it. and then repeat that over and over again until he had built the full song. but he said that was a pain in the ass.
  22. oh. so you mean drop tracks in order and then get them to mix without too muh messing about. i think mix meister is probably your best bet. i think you can like pick the overlap and it will do it all for you. but why do you want to do this when you have cdjs? you can just but a cheap external card then record yerself using audacity
  23. do you mean remix? ie change up a song or do yku mean actually make an entire mix then as per lloyd above. if the former, at its most basic you can use audacity to extend intros and outros but if you looking to resequence and add elements then fl studio or ableton (logic if you a mac). but none of these are cheap
  24. hey man welcome. dont worry bout the efx on one channel it will force you not to overdo it
