  1. I love hardstyle and it's wacky melodies and ritual speeches so I'll take a listen to this later
  2. Some crowds can actually get freaked out by too much bass, ive had this happen the hard way Its really about choosing your tracks wisely before a set, the best thing to do is hit up beatport, spend a day or 2 going through what they have to offer, lotta really good stuff their I wouldn't do that haha If you're playing live I wouldn't plan too much into your set because it's all about reading the crowd. If you can mix well enough you'll be able to switch up sub genres if any style to flow. On to your question lol I like the sounds of DJ Madd and local lad (Perth) Ylem. The deep stuff is always good
  3. Doesn't matter what you use because audio and midi files will open in any program Do a google search for what you're after and you might find something. A lot of pellas are DIY but there are some good ones out there
  4. There area few plugins our thee for it (I use bx solo) but the directional mixer in logic works Judy as good as anything out there
  5. Yeah my ways seem to work ok so I'm not complaining. I know I do a few things "wrong" but it's become my unorthodox way of making music (I hope that sounds right to everyone else because it doesn't to me lol). But I'm still out to share
  6. Copyright claims come and go and the Feds bust a company every now and then to keep people on their toes. I'm not saying it's not a serious issue but they've been doing this for years. If they wanted to shut down everything they would've done it by now
  7. Common mistake
  8. Enjoy
  9. Devo. I can fix that for ya
  10. my set from yesterday. hope you guys enjoyed it (for you who tuned in) tracklist and download in the link
  11. Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  12. avicii is a king for this. also, brazil by deadmau5 has been branded a few different ways too. one by kylie and the other by some chick jay-z was working with (cant remember her name)
  13. so clean. how's the controller (x1 is it?) go with traktor? i'm thinking about the same set up
  14. I'll record my set sometime tomorrow maybe. You can listen to the stream from your phones too! I'll take a screenshot of it tomorrow cut incase I forget, on the main page when the player is in the top right corner there's lurks icons down the bottom which allow you to stream in iTunes, winamp etc. There's a little tower looking thing to the very right. It's the last logo and apparently that is the one for your phone while the app is being finalized. If none of that made sense it's coz I'm half asleep bit I'll try remember to get to it tomorrow
  15. I'm on in 15mins fellas. Grab a brew and sit by a pool coz it's gonna be well relaxed
  16. Lol
  17. Sweet. I'll look sometime tomorrow. Wont be home til late after radio
  18. didnt see the mixes. just the crazy paintings lol
  19. these days it doesn't matter. i loved vinyl and then played cds because thats how things were but now im really thinking of moving to a laptop. i guess its now been "accepted" so to speak. as long as you can entertain a crowd then go down whichever path you want
  20. seems to work boss for you guys and now i've checked it up i might give it a shot sometime
  21. haha yeah i use to buy skitzmix when i was 14/15 so you can say a lot of my influence was from that
  22. i like my Korg synths so when i saw the korg legacy collection a while ago i had to buy it. had it for about a year now and its so badass! they sound the same as the actual synths. i use the mono/poly all the time
  23. this is what i do. i'm saying this in complete confidence that no one will steal my ideas... anyways, i make my synth sound pretty close to what i want it to in whatever synth i'm using. example, massive (since every whale has it). i'll make the patch to as close as i want and then i'll add a few other things in the processing stage. main ones can be Sausage Fattener, compressor (not as often as some people may think. i hardly use it to be honest) you're usual eq stuff, i'll add a stereo spread (BX SOLO plug in. so awesome! - not the dimension expander in massive. don't really like that too much), and a few other things which i forget but yeah, most of it is done in massive. i also open up the trust old effectrix (love you <3). i'll make or use a pretty basic sound (saw, square or whatever) and juice it up in effectrix. if you don't have it, get it! lately, ive been into assigning LFO's to envelopes and what not. come out with some pretty crazy stuff. anyways, hit me up in a PM tomy and we can discuss a price for my information
  24. when does this close?
  25. maybe not lol looks like i was a bit late on this one. i'll look for the stems and do it anyways
