If you have a studio condenser microphone it's not really going to help with background noise as they are made to pick up ever single soundit can hear, for instance I've recorded with mine only to find you can hear a dog barking in the background down the street A pop filter is there to do basically what it's name says, stops the pops of your P's, and T's, cuts back the hisses of your S's slot as well As for a live microphone I think it could cut out some background noise as they are very directional from the middle of the mic

Jarred, it sounds like you either didn't have the master cue on, or if you did the second knob above the headphones volume would have been set all the way to the left on cue so the master wouldn't come threw

i never said that was all there was to a DJ, but if the DJ isnt beatmatching but just clapping his hands and getting the crowd going then presses sync to change tracks....then he is an entertainer, might as well be an MC

no lloydc, everything you said there would make you an entertainer not a DJ, and no he sounds like human nightlife to me

very simple, DVS scans track like normal waveform, detects kicks, when sync is pressed it auto layers those kicks over 1 another from track A and track B creating a perfect nooby beatmatch

even saying that you should have at least 3 USB's man, say you got a gig at a club with 2 CDJ's, say 850's, (or even 900's and 2000's that arent linked via HUD) and you only have 2 usb's and 1 USB Dies which can happen, then your stuck with 1 USB and no way to link the decks, you can pull the USB out of deck 1 to put into deck 2 or it will stop the music on deck 1 thats when backup USB number 3 jumps in
