although they get pretty poor reviews against decent speakers.

do they?

this

Why is it surprising? Entry level gear would be expected to review poorl against high end stuff, i'm not bagging them they are a great option if you don't want to spend a heap of money.

rokits are the entry level....VXT's are the next step up if u got the $$$

the behringers arent that bad dood! but like the boys said...they are entry level.

in any case you will train your ear to them after using them for awhile.

Again i will highly recommend the Yamaha hs80m's, i was looking at cheaper units, but in the end i waited a bit longer, kosmic here in perth did em for 699 the pair. So happy i didnt compromise.

^^^have to agree here...i own the same speakers and they just cant be beat!

if u wanna save a bit more for a pair of monitors that u will pretty much never have to second guess and swap out later down the track.

the yammy hs80m's are the best for there price range.
