  1. I have 850s and they are awesome man, don't regret the purchase at all. I purchased brand new though, as not many were coming up second hand, due to them still being fairly new, and not many people selling/upgrading from them. You will probably struggle to get two for 1000, i think jaz scored his for around 1250 used though. However there may be more used units in canada, not sure. Best bet would be to keep your eyes open, and look on all the online sites and watch them when something comes up. If they continually sell above your budget, you will either have to keep saving, or go for some 800s or 350s. IMO, 850s are the way to try go though, you won't need to upgrade, and when buying used, you know they aren't too old, as they haven't been out that long. Whereas buying 800s used, they could be 5+ years old and thrashed, and you can't always tell until you see them first hand. Let us know how you go with it bud
  2. the built in unzipper on mac isn't that great, try installing this - http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/22774/the-unarchiver
  3. yes it will work fine suby

  5. Came across this today, thought I would post it to people learning how to make mashups. It is a guide to how one person goes about making a mashup in Ableton, i found it good to watch. If anybody has other tips, guides or vids related to making mashups they can post them in this thread
  6. I had a listen to this yesterday. There were a few transitions where the beatmatching or the drop was a bit out. By listening back I'm sure you know which ones they are anyway. other than that was decent
  7. Well if its coming out on beatport, I'll keep an eye out and cop this when it comes out there. Save me making a juno or amazon account
  8. The main problem with using sync now is that even though you said you'll still learn properly, you probably won't bother to learn it properly once you start using it. Keep practicing brother
  9. sounds like a sick night jonny, nice one
  10. Garts sweetish! Is it only on amazon at the moment? Btw it's not boxing day anymore for us

  12. So i'm moving out of home within a month, so cleaning out my room in desperate needs to find anything that might be worth a dollar. Was going to keep this, but need some money and obviously can't part with my CDJs so this has to go. Mixtrack pro, purchased around June this year (can find the receipt and tell you exactly when if needed). Used for a couple of months before upgrading to CDJs. Will ship in original box with everything that came with it. Excellent condition. Most of you on here will have gear already, but if any new users want a cheap way to get into DJing, make me an offer
  13. Exactly what I though, I wouldn't ever send it to a club, I mean, what if they wanted to hire me for a night and I still couldn't beat match, that would be horrifying. I've seen it happen before
  14. welcome bro plenty of knowledge on here, feel free to ask any Q's
  15. now turn the tt's 90 degrees and post a mix
  16. nice robsta
  17. Get whatever you think will work better for your needs. X1 has more buttons and controls, but is more expensive. Dicers are smaller, but have less buttons, so less control over what your doing. From what i have seen, they are good for loops and hot cues. Never used either myself though. If your going to be using it to load tracks, i'd be inclined to go the x1 as it has the 4 rotational scrolling dials, which would be better for looking through tracks than 5 buttons
  18. Sorry man, not sure what remix this one is, haven't heard that remix of it before. However i will say a member of this forum has made a pretty dope bootleg of the song, so if your looking for remixes of this track, check this out and you might like it:
  19. Just listened, enjoyed it man. Was listening in the back seat of the car, was tapping my foot and enjoying it the whole time, nice mix. What Andy said, listen to this people!
  20. Listened yesterday, this was dope, you've got some mad dubstep mixing skills! I've definately got a lot of work to do on my dubstep mixing. Nice work man

  23. I haven't touched my decks since my last gig 2 weeks ago therefore havent had a chance to get at this. will only be home for a few days this week too, then I'll be off to Perth. Hopefully I can get it done by then, otherwise I'm gonna be away in Perth til half way through jan. So no, it's not too late mattus
  24. I don't have anything for sale, but keep your eyes open on the online shopping (eBay, gumtree etc) as some unwanted presents may come up. Or a couple weeks after people may give up and try sell. A good beginner pack is the cdj 350 + djm 350 pack, you should be able to find one
  25. Welcome bro, everything I learnt is from the people on here. Feel free to ask any q's in the relevant sections, hope you stick around. O, and
