Thanks mate. I agree it could do with something extra. I did have a few extra elements in there but they just weren't sitting right, so I stripped it back. Thought it was time to step away from it and move onto something else

The idea of the in ears is you keep them in the whole time and then turn down cue vol on the mixer when you don't wanna hear through them. I don't think I'd like it either

Yep, the preset and plugin details are saved in the project. So you just remove the dodgy version and install the proper version and the project will know to use the new version

You can replace the plugin and it will work. But wouldn't hurt to bounce stems as a backup

Has anyone updated to this yet? If so, any issues? I'm on the most current release of v3 and not sure if I should upgrade

I have a Scarlett 6i6. You probably can get away with the 2i2 or the 2i4 and be fine. The preamps are decent, you can obviously get a lot better, but you'll be paying out of your budget. You probably won't be recording much through it that will matter anyway.

On a serious note, check if the manufacturer of your monitor make a cheap sound bar that attaches to the monitor. I know dell make a cheap one for some of their screens.
