  5. The moment we have been waiting for - 9.2 is finally out of beta, and released as a free update for all users on live 9 Release notes https://www.ableton.com/en/help/article ... ase-notes/
  6. This. Maybe 2 smaller ones would be better as you can use 1 in cases where 2 would be overpowering. Also easier to carry
  7. Ableton hidden options.txt guide - allows enabling some features/changing some settings that can only be done by modifying this txt file http://www.heavyweightbass.net/blog/201 ... izcymw0hwz My favourite is the show device slots, so you can quickly see all the devices applied to a channel, without having to click on that particular channel
  8. It was only $550...
  9. 1TB internal flash storage for retina macbook. Sick of having to have ext hdd plugged in to do anything + found a decent deal

    Hey everyone!

    Welcome
  11. Just look for cables that have the following: -good shielding. Braided shield is generally stronger -quality soldering, and quality, tidy heat shrink at the end of the cables -shorter the cable, the less potential interference -use the right cable for the job. Use xlr/trs where appropriate for a balanced signal. Use ts for unbalanced. RCA is fine going from decks -> mixer, but not anything long distance -gold plaited connectors and oxygen free are more of a gimmick than an increase in sound quality. Gold plaited will also wear off quicker (still lasts quite some time) if you're unplugging/plugging cables in all the time -replace the cables when they get damaged. Most of the time the damage is around the connector, so you can just replace the ends. This is as much as I can help. It's more about the characteristics than the brand.
  12. I wasn't debating anything.. You can actually make your own cables and guarantee they are good quality. Easiest & cheapest way to guarantee. If you're not keen/confident on making your own, I can't really recommend any specific brands.
  13. Make your own
  14. Hi mate
  15. Hi guys, I've been a bit quiet on here lately as I've had a crazy work schedule, but just an update on where to find Andy and myself over the coming weeks Fri 19th June - Bosco & Friends Presents "A Club About Nothing" $5 Tecate cans pretty much sums this night up. Sun 12th July - OTR Presents Garden Party @ Railway Hotel, Brunswick Off The Rekord crew (me, Andy & some m8s) are throwing a little party in the Railway Hotel Garden, with our crew + some special guests. Jack Love is one of Melbourne's up and coming house producers, so it should be a cracker! Just a heads up, there will be $9 jugs all day I'll update here as we confirm more dates

    MOTD

This came on after listening to a track on youtube. Thoroughly enjoying
  17. This sums it up
  18. So sorry to hear man
  19. Commercial scene do your thing, I don't really care at the end of the day. Live for the underground
  20. Nek minute, unclaimed baggage: -1 Scottie -3 empty tea cups
  21. Yeah, even though the OS is fully 64-bit, you can still run 32 bit programs. 32-bit OS = can't utilise more than 4GB ram at all 64-bit OS running 32-bit program = that program can only use 4GB ram. On the Mac, if you right click on the app file for logic/ableton and go to 'get info', you can change what mode it runs in
  22. Scarf is good idea.
  23. There are a few that do that. I think one is jbridge, the other '32 bits' But ye, if you have heaps of 32bit plugins, just run your daw in 32 bit mode for less headaches. Then work on upgrading each plugin to 64 bit. The only benefit you get running the daw in 64 bit is you can utilise more than 4GB ram in the host
