  1. You can still run Logic in 32 bit mode on a 64 bit system. Same with Ableton. This website is pretty handy --> http://roaringapps.com/ According to this, if you download and install the latest updates for logic pro 9 straight away, logic works OK. Unfortunately there is no data on ableton on the above site, but according to ableton, it works on yosemite https://www.ableton.com/en/help/article ... patibilty/ I suggest checking plugin compatibility too
  2. Is Lloyd gonna be around on the sat at all?
  3. Just did the test. Got the acapella one and coldplay wrong, but picked the rest. I was using headphones not through my soundcard. Might redo it at some stage using soundcard with headphones/monitor speakers to see if i can pick them all
  4. My collection is a lot of AIFF now. Only need 3 64GB sticks (all have the same music on them, just backups)
  5. Have you taken it apart at all yet?
  6. Haven't watched, but faku video
  7. This is exactly what I needed right now
  8. It will be something in the internal wiring / circuitry. Nothing obvious I can see there though. Not sure if it's worth paying someone to look at it
  9. http://typedrummer.com/738dfs lol
  10. Beers ahoy lads!
  11. Have a look at this It's a pretty rough tutorial, but I think it will help with showing how to move the tracks back/forward to get everything in time. I'd suggest starting with your kick / drums, however have a bit of silence before the kick starts, so you have room to move your other elements back to fit (if need be). You can then cut that bit of silence off when you bounce the track out. Here is one that shows EQing in audacity Another key element in a mixing is (sidechain) compression. Apparently there is an "Auto-Ducking" feature in audacity that can do this. However all of the above seems a bit clunky compared to ableton for me. I'd be happy to show you through just arranging / mixing music one weekend
  12. Audacity is a daw - just a very basic one. Ableton free or any basic daw would make this easy - not sure how to do it in audacity exactly. So I assume what you're doing is recording all your stems individually, then you just want to arrange them all?
  13. Welcome m8ey
  14. Will teach you when the rotorcave is set up properly
  15. Complete opposite of the scene I'm involved with, but good luck with it
  16. Enjoying this. I have the track @ 10mins on vinyl
  17. There are plenty online,, I'll find one or make one up quickly next week
  18. Empty office = giving this a play out loud right now
  19. Thanks for listening
  20. Andy normally presses lots of buttons But seriously, what I normally do: - if I have 3/4 decks, I'm preparing the next 2 tracks (or loop/acapella) --this is picking the track, setting the loop etc. -adjusting EQs and volume -utilise the fx to work the track to the crowd -refuse all the requests -just be a general DJ God I can be busy constantly if I have 3-4 decks
  21. Hi guys, Tested out the Tascam DR-40 I got recently, taking it along to Cameo Puzzler warehouse. Here is the recording of andyman+me aka Rotorcraft https://soundcloud.com/rotorcraftau/rotorcraft-off-the-rekord-warehouse-party-9-5-15 I'll work on a tracklist later in the week As usual, leave any comments here

    Nice ones lads
  23. Less delay than this reply. But to be honest, good wireless Mics have barely noticeable delay to the human ear, so can't see why wireless headphones would be any different
  24. If the lighting rig is big/good/dope enough for me to even think about wanting to do anything with the lights, the club would have someone there doing the lighting properly. Most smaller setups aren't really worth touching. I might turn certain lights on/off or change the colour depending on the time of night, but nothing further than that
  25. It's OK to DJ & MC when: -The client is happy with that -You are good on the Mic -You are comfortable doing both It's not OK to DJ & MC when: -You're not fluent/confident on the mic -The client wants someone else
