I have CDJ 850s and a DJM 700. More than adequate for learning on. If you can play on 850s and DJM 700, you can play on 2000s and 800 (what is in most clubs now). So if you are really keen to learn & want to learn to play on club gear, fork out the money for CDJ 850s and DJM 700.

You can trash the logic preferences without deleting the track which would give the same result, but without deleting the logic file. As for all these crashes, not sure. I've never had any issues with 9,, they are probably still ironing out bugs with 10 :/

is it not just an update? why would there be a beta version? They would test the update before final release

Are you just using ultrabeat? I haven't had any issues like that on 9 (I haven't upgraded yet). Have you updated everything to the latest version? May also be worth checking the apple boards to see if it's a known issue others are experiencing

Won't make a difference. Main thing is just to make sure you aren't clipping the recording

Do this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3625 Then yer you need a program to record with - audacity will do. In audacity next to the little microphone symbol make sure you choose your built in line in instead of built in mic, then you should be right

Used one.... Just can't seem to work out how to squeeze the other in. And I'm out of time. The first verse fits in a few of the breakdowns, just mix it in with Audacity.. there's still time! hmmm audacity you say might ableton mix acca's good idea swear no eyes took me forever to get right. to make matters worse its my last track have had two clean mixes up to that point then fucked it up at no eyes..haha i still havent worked out how to record the mix yet.. as dont have an external soundcard 3.5mm port can switch between line out and line in on 13" macbook pro
