Have had bad experiences with CC stuff being pretty thrashed, better off on gum tree/ebay man. I wouldnt pay over 250 for good condition 800s now, any chance you can check out the player?

Yeah the A-Trak article was good, I don't think deadmau5 is right on this one. His sets really aren't that good anyway, he does a bit of sampling and effects but no means any better than what could be achieved on decks. I dont understand his stance on this tbh, just because you cant do it traditionally doesnt mean everyone else is doing it half arsed deadmau5...

With the 850 also out can expect the 800s to hopefully go down, wouldnt bother with other brands as you want to get used to the 800.

Yeah was a typo i meant going too commercial or hard, like for the first few hours you feel like you hold back too much, but then you dont want to play all the good stuff and have nothing later on. Im also against playing a song twice unless it gets requested heaps.

Depends on crowd, club and genre. I used to do a 6pm to 12ish funky/tech house set for suits on george street, so much harder you need to build and hold momentum without going too commerial all hard. Definitely the hardest gigs are all night ones. Hats off to guys who do it every week much prefer the 1-2 hour slots now unless im mixing trance or good heavy stuff.

End of the day we are there for them, not the other way round. Of course no drunk/attention seeking individual should impact or potentially ruin the entertainment for the crowd as a whole. Djs should interact with the crowd as well its fun and part of the experience, if you dont like talking to any punters or interacting with them then you are in the wrong job.
