    Hey

    Hey there
  2. Yes, double post, no IDGAF! Finally got a chance to use this bad boy in a mobile environment last night. It's an awesome piece of machinery, well built, has a real crisp and clear sound (no crackle or heavy bass). My only "complaint" is that I prefer the filter on my Pioneer DMJ250 as it doesn't cut the music as much, but other then that, I'm looking forward to learning much more about the S4! There are two different filter options you can chose from. Try the other one.
  3. True... But if he was a complete twat that door can get closed pretty quick.
  4. Are we just talking about the EDM world or all music? I'm a bit like you Narukami. To me lyrics are just another element to a song. A major and important one but not the be all and end all. I love listening to the whole song and do not focus on just the lyrics. This is one of the reasons I like electronic music as I like the layers of it. I think dance music is much more involved than many in the public recognise because all they hear is boring lyrics and a repetitive beat. They are missing out on the other 80% of the music that is going on. Many years ago I had a housemate who hated dance music. It was around the time Daft Punk's Homework album came out and we were cruising around Lismore with the tunes cranked through my Alpine sick by nines! Around the World was playing and he says to me, "this songs alright huh?" I replied that it was pretty good considering it only had three words in the entire song. At that point he finally tuned into the song and heard that the melody he had been listening too all this time, that gelled with the beat and the bass was actually three words repeated over and over. And that ruined the song for him because all he could hear from then on were the words. Not the whole song as he was previously. I probably go too far the other way though and I don't listen to lyrics enough. There are very few songs I know the words to.
  5. Messy cables? No idea what you are talking about...
  6. The 2 sample channels can be relocated as external inputs for cdjs or decks.
  7. A real ghetto setup could be something like an S4 plus an external cheap mixer. The S4 would give 2 music channels plus 2 sample channels (could run pre-recorded ads or samples n shit through) plus a mic channel. Run the external mixer into the mix and have your miss plus phone in lines. It has multiple analogue outputs (xlr and trs). But probably only worth it if you already had it. A regular mixing desk would probably be better.
  8. Hey there

  15. Tapatalk works for me.
  16. You assume it's for DJ purposes. I'd say it's aimed at audiophiles.
  17. Tomy from Sloprock is our main man for this but I believe they are on a bit of a tour.
  18. I did one today but I don't have proper internet at home and I've now discovered work blocks Soundcloud. I won't get to the library to upload it until Thursday.
  19. Welcome aboard
  20. Perth!!! Could have come to the meat..... .... Or were you at the meat? Fuck... I think I lost a day somewhere there...

  22. Sounds good... Well done!
  23. Not sure on how the Techno purists will receive this mix but I damn well enjoyed it.
