No matter how many indications you make in regards to searching before posting, someone will always make a new thread about something answered before etc. Why not let them? If they ask something that has been answered link it, but they might want some replies specifically aimed at their enquiry; makes them feel all fuzzy inside. What hobberz proposes (or anyone else for that matter) can be very difficult to implement. The search function exists, we shouldn't have to do anything else to point at it other than let someone know, or link to something for them. If we have a user who continually makes new threads asking the same old already answered shit, then I'll tell them to stop or ban them if they don't.
