in the end it wont matter. because developers would be stupid to ignore the market and then will start building for it anyways. so people will say meh and keep buying apple. think about all the hoo haa about iphones not having flash. so what do people do, they actually create an app which is nothing more than their website (and in many cases even better than the website) so that the appleoids are satisfied. like nba.com's gametime app. kills the website, in fact i dont think ive ever been back. and there are countless examples.

you act like the app store thing is optional. cant you see which way they are moving... only a matter of time where any software for an apple will need to be dev'd so it can be sold thru the app store. and no software can be installed on apples unless bought from the app store. you know its coming. emperor jobs wants to control you! and get his click fee.

even if they were real you're talking about $230. these go on sale to $250 several times each year. at that price diff id buy from a local store. have you looked at store dj sale? are they included.

my suggestion create a saved search in ebay and look at it every day. sort it by newly added and you will see what gets added new every day. my advice though it could take a while. i waited 6 months looking almost every day, and didnt end up buying anything. others on here have got lucky though, so kits and deals are out there.

the reloop products are top notch. i use the reloop iq2 non usb version. its cross faders are ultra light and smooth (check youtube for that german dmc supremacy champ zeiko go crazy on em). and the sound is highly rated, not just for its cost but in general. in terms of the dj warehouse pack. ive used reloop rmp1 (the scratch enabled ones) and an rmx 30. im not too familiar with cd players, but for the two times i have used em they were good.

djaz yeah its diff. so you could use the hercules sound card such that you could use traktor. but if you were to plug tt's or cdj's to it you couldnt read timecode. awesome, yip as above youd need to buy an NI sound card (or another mixer) in order to use timecode. but not that im condoning but surely it has been hacked if you want to go down that way. there are other dvs' though who dont lock down the timecode. but i dont know too much about em.

oh my god. what have you done with gandy? guys i think someones hijacked gandys account jks. + rep for bringing someone into the life and willing to help. dont know too much about either. but djaz, karma, and awesome have used both so can give you the ins and outs. i guess just from common sense controllers are cheaper (if you already have a useable laptop) and lighter.

djaz thats for using a midi controller with traktor. but using a device with a built in sound card to read timecode it has to be certified

to be able to use it with tsp it has to be one of those certified mixers. im sure there is a section on NI somewhere. if i get a chance ill have a look. (or in store dj it usually says if its certified).
