from his answer he dont have a lappy. and buddy no you dont need a macbook, any laptop would do if you choose to use a MIDI controller, a DVS or software only. as per djaz cheapest would be to find second hand gear no laptop. of this option cdj's will be cheaper only because of the media, i.e. you prob already have a stash as opposed to vinyl you woill need to build and/ or get lucky and find a bulk lot (has happened). but that is going for the cheapest. my suggestion would be to go to a dj store or someone you know and have a play around. then choose what method you actually want, and then look for the best you can of that method at a price you can afford. cuz reality is you may hate one style or you may really fall in love with one style. nah mean
-
or you buy it frm juno
-
of course cheaper way is to just buy the skratchy seal digital version and then use that with yer timecodes. think its about ten bucks. that way no flipping and bypassing. on the other hand these look cool. oh yeah much cheaper to buy straight from the thud rumble store than buy from stores here
-
karma, go buy the skratchy seal control vinyl. http://www.ausdjforums.com/modules.php? ... t=skratchy

reloop (in my experience) are cheap and of good quality. in fact i rate the glide of the fader over the pioneers and the stanton (though it was a very old stanton though it was meant to be for scratching). however they do lack features, and lights and other bells and whistles. and the layout of some doesnt lend itself into jumping onto the pioneers which of course are the standard

no worries bro, wasnt having a go. i just never vibe with the elitism in djing (turntable users hate on cdj users who hate on contrellerists who will one day hate on something, ipads maybe).
-
now djaz im sure you'd heard at least one of those tracks. but thats spank rock now go cop the mobrooder.
-
and while i only posted up bump above, the entire album yoyoyoyo was awesome. here is a snippet of chilly will, and a little demo of how you dance to this ghetto booty bass
-
and before this years mobroder (the OP) he did a couple more collabos on Mark Ronsons release last year and of course with my faves ninjasonik. in fact he drops on a few tracks with the ninja on their last ep (which is free so cop it)
-
spank rock and santi were no strangers to each other, with naeem providing a verse on shove it (another live shit sound version) and they also came together on NASA's track whachadoin with MIA
-
the above track was mixed by producer benny blanco, who spank rock mc would collabo with for bangers & cash EP. which is one of the best EP's ever!! i still rock it, and used it in my last mix. as mentioned they primarily used 2 live crew samples for the beats. heres a couple from it.. first up a fat fat track again w amanda blank. the OG clip is xrated, but its awesome. i cant find any good copies online anymore. if you can check it, its kinda like NERD's lapdance clip. anyways heres a live version (so bass overpowers)."deez nuts" another phatty track this time with santigold and illvia B.O.O.T.A.Y - Spank Rock and Benny Blanco are: Bangers & Cash SPANK ROCK | Myspace Music Videos
-
and this justice song. this version kills. yet another one of my faves. mos def ftw. and who said hip hoppers rapping on dance beats was shyte!
-
after yoyoyoyoyo spank rock came out with a couple of remixes or bootlegs or cameos that were fire. first up a track with pase rock, again w amanda blank. this is one of my favourite tracks of all time. "show your baby rat" (not real clip)
-
aiight. so bump was the first track i came across spank rock. it was blowing up hard. now as above spank rock was more like a collective, with naeem (or spank rock mc), producer armani xxxchange, devlin & darko. their music was of the bmore gutter style (though hailing from philly this use to get a bit of debate on the nets), which is in the ghetto tech region. there was no clip, but ive always loved this performance. amanda blank kills it! wait for when she goes double time. her album is also the ish! nice little pop album with its share of bmore bass.

experience on what? not how to use cdjs thats for sure. it doesnt teach you how to cue up cdjs (ive tried twice of course without reading anything to set a cue and couldnt figure it out), set off loops, or use all those effects that djs do now a days. and it doesnt give you anymore/better experience in how to beatmath, pick tracks, watch crowd. experience on how to use a turntable yeah sure it gives you that. dont get me wrong i love my turntables and it was never in my mind to get anythin else. i just dont think people who use turntables are part of some elite club, nor are they any better for the sheer fact they use turntables.

is it true it was in the back of the head? thats pretty dogg assed
