  4. yeah man thats oh so 2010
  5. which state you in? and yeah pics usually drum up more bizness
  6. just note dude has no picture so send him a request for pics. also what do you mean $800? dont make an offer of more. either wait for auction or offer less. finally hit wazza up. there are a few versions so make sure there aint nothing bad with the MKII's
  7. dont forget its a 16th, you can usually repeat tracks. i think i mentioned before at one of our house parties we had technotronic move this played about ten times. crowd just kept shouting "rewind"
  8. karma here is a couple of vestax' for a buy now $700 or with an auction. dont know much about them but wazza rates the PDX range http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2-Vestax-PDX-200 ... 4158bef550 oh yeah whats yer budge
  9. advertised for 7 hunge. but if it dont go i reckon theyll take lower http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ultimate-DJ-Reco ... 4aaa75b24d
  10. i think richos got that? the t62's have a lower torque which just means you will need to adjust going from one tt to another. some of the vets have probably had more experience and can provide more insight, but i have jumped between techs and the ST150's, and while it takes a little adjustment you soon pick it up. you find one second hand or you getting from djw?
  11. looks like it was pumping johnny. nice one
  12. ha ha as i said no beef. and if you read my second post ihad no question as to which category i fit in. ie software dj. i just thought the thread was about what equip you use and someone using a dvs with turnies or cdjs has nothing to do with controllers. which is why i questioned it.
  13. fair enuff. i use turntables so picked number one cuz i use tsp
  14. cupe send him a shirt already
  15. cool
  16. oh it was scratchlounge. anyways here. each one has varous minor differences, but also varying quality. but essentially the same guts. from http://www.skratchlounge.com/index.php? ... urntables/
  17. ha ha i cant find it. damn. its an article from skratchworx. anyways oh yeah forgot, st120's pretty much has the same guts as the st150 so maybe seek second hand ones of that if the st150's are out of the price range.
  18. yes straight arms can be used on timecode. in regards to the techs, i wouldnt recommend getting a turntable with torque less than a tech 1200. so that will mean get either a tech 1200 or one of the super OEMs (st150's, the american audio one, the vestax one. im sure theres a thread for it somewhere ill link if i come across it).
  19. so your poll is about what media you use not how you dj?
  20. and fer the record, i aint bigging up or putting down any method. y'all seen my rants. im a tsp user and proud; and i embrace djs of all styles. peace. back to the election Vote 1 pedro
  21. other than price (which is a massive deciding factor. i.e. buy the best you can afford), the things that get mentioned are: * torque - i would always recommend getting no less than the techs which are on the lower end. * arms - this is debatable and dependent on what you want to do. in summary straights hold better but eat your vinyl (possibly also have some noise). s or curved dont hold as well, have a better sound and are better on your vinyl * pitch range - again this thing is as necessary as you think you may use it. techs from memory have +/- 8%. some go to like +/- 25%, but really the track will sound stupid * quartz locks - which mean that at 33/45/76 the pitch will play exactly that
  22. not really. you have to remember just because they are both made by Native Instruments, how you DJ using traktor is not the same as how you dj with traktor scratch pro. just because awesome has been using traktor with his denon for a number of months now, there would probably be a steep learning curve if he were to come over to my place and try to use tsp with turntables on the otherhand if i were to go over to cupes and have a go on his turnies, the learning curve will be a lot lower. so i think dvs' have nothing to do with controller djing. in fact using an all in one with platters is actually more akin to using cdjs. i.e its the same feel and process.
