  2. I'm probably going to install it but leave snow leopard on my computer as well so I can have it but still have 10.6 as a fallback if there is too much wrong with it.

  4. Hey guys so today the newest version of OS X is out on the mac app store as a 20-30 dollar upgrade. I'm On phone ATM, but I'm going to Write up a list of new features, changes etc. when I get home. Will also post review when I get it this weekend. Also this thread will be where ppl can post q's and about any help you need with it so I can assist you guys
  5. if you'd be happy enough using that and you get it cheap enough i can't see why not dude
  6. Can't you use the software on the cd that came with the webcam? If you've lost the CD should be able to download it from the website of the manufacturer. Also, moved to Computer Corner
  7. To put it simply, 'sometime in August' can't come quick enough
  8. get on it melb peeps gonna be epic
  9. Read A-Trak's article relating to the matter here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/atrak/don ... 94719.html
  10. I'd be burning a cd with a decent length mix on it, relative to the set your looking at getting (trying to land an hour set, make an hour mixtape). I'd also try and work through a connection to get to the manager, don't just walk in give them your mixtape and walk out. Coz as much as your mixtape might be awesome, getting gigs in any town is about who you know, not how good you are
  11. Think i gave this one a listen a little while ago when it was on soundcloud. Nice one getting it up on itunes
  12. russ bet me too it. nice one
  13. Down towards the bottom of the home page there is a bunch of genres. Inside each genre page there is a 'tracks' and 'mixes' section. Choose main genre of your mix. Then put it in the mixes sub-section of that genre
  14. sold now anyway
  15. A-track wrote a related article too, I'll link it when I get home
  16. Also digging the mashup you guys made with the justice tune. I put that in TOTD this morning
  17. djm 800 used is a possibility. never seen/used/know anything about the dnx1600 so can't comment. also djm700 is fairly similar to the 800. main difference is there is one filter knob which you select the channel its assigned to with your fx, as opposed to a filter for each channel. might pick one up a bit cheaper and would suffice for home use (i use one at home)
  18. I find an hour to be way to short a time to do anything properly. you need about 3 hours minimum. depends on the situation. If you come onto the decks at peak time for the club for an hour, you have a rough idea on what your going to play for the hour. When i was doing a whole night, when i rock up @10pm, you don't know when the club is going to get full, when people are gonna want to get up and dance, what they wanna dance to etc. Gotta create the whole atmosphere/vibe yourself, and you don't get to leave the decks to get down on the d-floor and see what the vibe is down there. Gotta read the whole night from the booth. As opposed to being down in the crowd and feeling the vibe, then jumping up in the booth for an hour or two.
  19. no i wouldn't want one
  20. this article he wrote accompanies this vid http://deadmau5.tumblr.com/post/2569050 ... l-hit-play
