  1. Anditz is dominating melbourne techno atm, nomination worthy
  2. Ask the club What formats their system supports. Also get the aspect ratio of the screen and recommend resolution. As for a program to make it, not sure. A lot of those backdrop screens have they own presets for everything built in on the software it's being controlled from
  3. That is the worst thing I've ever heard PS the flat beat track we are talking about is this (I'm sure you've heard it)
  4. Andy and I would also be up there in alco fred. One does not simply win a drinking contest on a DJ forum
  5. You can hit attending over here >>>> https://www.facebook.com/events/8168582 ... ser_joined
  6. My 2nd appearance on TRNSMT Andy and I just had to make a calendar for all rotorcraft things. #gettinglarge
  7. MP3 @ 320kbps will compress to about 140-150MB / hr. So the compressed file would be well under 1GB, making it worth it.
  8. You gotta boot to recovery mode (Command + r when Mac is starting up)
  9. Yep, blatant copy
  10. Those links don't work, as they require to be logged in to your account. You'll need to grab the publicly available link and post that
  11. I love listening to a good 2+ hr set. However that's mainly house / techno and it fits the genre If you wanna do commercial sorta stuff I guess short with lots of tracks is good, as most of your listener base have the attention span of a goldfish.
  12. Yer we talked about this in chat and he's gonna restore to backup of 10.8. Eggs, pretty sure traktor works in 10.9 and 10.10 now, but there was a couple of issues with some of the sound cards. Haven't checked compatibility recently

    TOTD?

My life has been changed forever
  14. It's a steal m8s, get on it
  15. Facebook have started cracking down on the 'like for download' pages that many artists used to implement. I've seen it almost disappear in the last few months. I think you'll find the requirement become less relevant shortly. They quite often post the links on other social networks too (mostly twitter), however I'm not sure what your stance on that platform is.
  16. I'm not one to give advice on how to mix & master as I'm not that great at it myself, however I have heard that theory about mixing in mono. Having your songs sound dope in mono IS very relevant & important, as most club/large PA systems run in mono. I'm not much help, but thought i'd explain the 'why' part of it. Hopefully Tomy or one of the other production guru's see this and can help with your technique

    TOTD?

^Large tune Here's an oldie I just discovered
  20. ^ I wouldn't say I agree with the above. However, without confusing OP & starting a completely different debate going into the specifics of file formats etc. here is a summary: WAV/FLAC: highest quality, large disk space, expensive MP3 320kbps: Very good quality, small disk usage, cheaper, what most people use MP3 192: Rarely see it get sold online, worse quality & less disk usage compared to MP3 320kbps. Wouldn't waste my time with it (personally)
  21. lossless = formats that have no compression. FLAC, WAV, AIFF, etc. lossy = formats that have compression. MP3, WMV, , etc.
  22. Heard it live
  23. I get lossless where I can.. However if you're only DJing bedroom 320kbps mp3 is fine. A lot of people won't even tell the difference until you get onto a larger club rig. I wouldn't waste my time with 192kbps. As for different genres - yes, the more you can play, the stronger you're skills will be. My collection mainly consists of deep/tech/house/techno, but I can mix pretty much anything. It's all about practice and playing what you enjoy
