Waveforms are instant if you analyse and export through rekordbox. USBs all the way for me. I haven't played anywhere that still uses 1000's for at least 2 years.
Id say it's even more important when you're not DJing, as you're out on the dance floor right in front of the speakers, where it's even louder than the booth.
There is dampening in the ceiling as ysm said. Also the insulation on the wall would be sound proof. * the whole room is floating off the ground. So all 3 rooms are actually treated really well
oxykon has one too. They do look pretty cool, however when I get the cash I think I'll be more likely to be getting a maschine instead of one of these. I like the look/feel of the pads more, and the workflow looks dope.

Why can't you DL rekordbox? CDJ 900s are compatible with any version of rekordbox. There is no regular cycle with updates I've found, they just release when they think the updates are ready. There was one a few weeks ago
