http://soundisstyle.com/2013/05/the-50- ... -2013.html don't know why they have included daft punk separately at number 2 and 3, and also deadmau5. Thomas Bangalter is a DJ so he could be included I guess
That's a shame. I used to get hardcore/rave mixtapes from my big sisters mates all the time. Still have one that the mrs has had for years called 'House '89'. Fuckin boss tape
What a load of drivel. Saw mixmag mention this yesterday. People should just not bother even mentioning this pish. It only serves to give promotion to it.
there has always been a steady stream of underground shit being put out on limited cassette runs. I don't own a cassette player anymore, I don't even own a CD player anymore, so I've never bought any of them.
I've finally got round to listening to the album. I think it's dope. Pretty much what I was hoping for from them. This is their best work since Homework.
Growing up in the UK during the house movement listening to The Grid, The KLF, The Prodigy, Inner City, Soul II Soul, M People ect... Good times (the best times) in terms of the style of music available in the mainstream.
I just use ableton. If you have, say a 1 bar loop, you can set markers then slice it to a new midi channel and arrange any way you like. if I'm only looking for a one shot from a sample I just use abletons sampler device. Are you looking to load them into an MPC or that?
Tron Legacy is 3 years old so if they made choons like that it wouldn't be very futuristic. I haven't listened to the album yet. Probably won't go out my way to either. Not until at least all the hype has died down.
