  1. it has a time and place.
  2. my point is still valid.
  3. the fact they've got someone holding a pair of skull candy headphones on their poster says it all really.
  4. find a warehouse thats not owned by your dad. ticket it ??? Profit
  5. There are some albums you have to own on vinyl and there are a lot of b-sides which you get on the singles that are worth buying them for. So both have their advantages over the other.

    FUCK

    Nice.
  7. Specialist shows will require mixing skills. However, these are usually shows that touring DJ's do anyway so they already have the mixing down. Your everyday radio presenter doesn't require mixing abilities.

  11. it is good. What else you looking to know?
  12. used to use a few years back. Great for editing audio. the MIDI capability was shockingly bad. I have read though that it has been improved in more recent versions.
  13. bandcamp is pretty good for putting tunes up on.
  14. i've not really used it much in the last few months so I haven't noticed anything. i'm over soundcloud.
  15. actually... there's shit loads of 'leaked tracks' on there. probably all bullshit.
  16. Last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live featured an advert for the beyond-hyped new album by Daft Punk. Said advert featured 15 seconds of new music, presumably by the group, and the internet has predictably exploded. You can stream said 15 seconds – which, it has to be said, certainly sounds like Nile Rodgers may have had a hand in – below, keep up to date with the rest of the Daft Punk rumour mill here, and listen to a recently unearthed DJ set from the group’s Thomas Bangalter here. and at the end of that video there was this one.. Dunno if it is a leaked track or not. doesn't sound much like the clip above. edit by Mitch: fixed youtube links
  17. I'm hoping my new pad will have space in it for a studio area. Will find out in a weeks time. Def need to get my shit sorted out though. Been too long without a proper set-up. I'll have 1 year or so to get it properly sorted before i quit this FIFO shit.
  18. to be fair to daft punk they'd made it before they adopted the masks and robot persona's. That whole thing just opened them up to a worldwide market. And lets be honest, nothing they've done since 'homework' comes close to matching it.
  19. I'm gonna answer these two. 5. That depends on what kind of club you want to play. Of course you can get gigs playing purely house music. It's a niche genre though so chances are limited. Not impossible though if you put the effort in. The question becomes do you wanna play house music cos (i'm guessing) it's what you love or are you happy to play anything just to get a gig? 6. Charge them bitches. Nothing wrong with charging money for a service.
  20. The fact all you've mentioned is gimmecks says a lot. If your making/playing good music then you shouldn't need this shit. There's been a barrage of whales comin out wearin masks, trying to be all mysterious and say it's all about the music, turning up in the techno scene in recent years. If it really is all about the music and you really want to hide your identity/face then don't do resident adviser interviews.
  21. edit the sample so it's only a 1 shot before loading to traktor?
  22. What type of club DJ are you talking here?
