been a while since i hit beatport (just checked my records, april!) damn. no wonder my list of tracks to check is up to about 400 now and a few more on my juno notices that i havent added to the list. gonna be a long night! anywho, everything seems to be more expensive now like over $2.. and dont worry adjfers with releases (chris, shabang, slop rock, chev..) y'all on the list. prob only reason why ive come onto beatport plus i want to get the new craze track.

haha. oops totally got it wrong. now i remember the issue is if you have a USB 1.0 device (which most soundcards and midi devices are) and USB 2.0 devices on most USB ports. all devices will run at USB 1.0 speed. here was my post which has links to the djtt article and a belkin one which guarantees max thruput

this is good as it allows for external power source. but what you need to look out for is one that allows max throughput to all ports. djtt had a good article on it (ill dig in a sec). but basically some hubs make it such that it shares the speed of the single usb port. i.e. if you have four things running, they are each only getting the throughput of 1/4 the speed of your lappys USB port. as opposed to the good ones, guarantee max thruput for all ports on the hub. anyways ill find the article.

sorry foolish didnt get to my lappy last night. ill look it up. the version of tsp i am on is the one i like. but the version of drivers im on are not the optimal, the one just before that were the best. but at the time i couldn't find them!! but yeah turn off auto update on NI stuff for sure. anyways will check tonight.

Hmmm i have auto windows update and the audio 8, never had that issue. Only time it recognises as new hardware is if i change the usb port i am using. I never do auto updates from NI. Their updates suck balls. And only every second one is functional. Always read the NI forum before comitting to an update of the audio 8 or traktor

Same i think they are awesome. It allows for pass thru. I.e without needing my laptop or not needing to replug anything, i can go to just playing staight vinyl with a flick of switch. Which is good, because even when im not mixing i still listen to my vinyl

A couple years back i posted a link to some videos ed banger put out in assocaion with etnies for their seventh bday. These are in french, though im sure they use to have subtitles. Original site is gone so maybe for youtube subtitles were left off. Mehdi amongst the other cats from ed banger are in them. damn, just found out this mroning that Dj Mehdi from Ed Banger passed away in a freak acident. I first came aware of Mehdi from the A-trak blog as the two did shows together regularly. and his releases in the carte blanche group were awesome (im sure i have mentioned them before). and he seemed like a cool cat from the ed banger blog and the ed banger videos. anyways RIP from http://www.mixmag.net/2011/09/13/dj-mehdi-rip/
