South part? What area? Mc Laren Flat Here!
-
Hey guys! No matter where I go, I always find my setup looks a little tacky. Id like to make it a little bit professional , but how would I achieve this?

Yeh, black is far sexier than white any day!

Alright honestly your better of using the extra dosh from the audio 10's to get Stanton STR-8's over the T62's You can get them cheaper than this, but they are top notch TT's, and have been arguably referred to as technic's killers. https://www.storedj.com.au/products/STN-STR8150 Otherwise, here are the other's I was talking about https://www.storedj.com.au/products/STN-T62 Remember that you have to buy an audio 10 package, with traktor you need to buy both the hardware and the software. With serato all you need is the hardware, the software is free. Also trust me when you say, you are pretty much NEVER going to do 4 deck mixing, perhaps the possibility of hooking up two tt's and two cdj's. But the thing is, you need to be a little bit prepared for the fact that you might not like it, in which case Second hand cdj's hold there value VERY WELL. Im pretty sure you can do 4 deck mixing with an audio 8 anyway, so perhaps conciser that. (If you decide to go with traktor) http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/mount-la ... 1003903907 It has EVERYTHING you need, offer him $300 and it will be bout $25 for postage, pay via paypal and it will be safe if he doesn't live near you. Id have to recommend serato though, seriously, it runs so smooth on a pc, If I could turn back time I would choose it over traktor. Not to mention most clubs (around me anyway) have SL2's or SL3's already in them, so all you would have to do is bring your vinyl and your lappy. Remember second hand gear can be your friend, just make sure you inspect it properly.

If it has usb in the name I wouldn't think highly of it at all. Also you are going to want to make sure you get direct drive tt's. Im on my phone atm so can't link you to them. But for your low budget tt's id get some stanton t-62's from store dj, I think there actually cheaper than those ones you where looking at. Also what made you decide on turntables? I heard you say you where looking at getting into clubs, if so Cdj's would be your best bet, sure clubs have tt's. But cdj's are going to be what you will be using. A pair of 800's and traktor/serato would be great (that's what I have) Anyways back on topic, An audio 10 is for people using 4 desks. What you want is a audio 4 (in a scratch duo package, $200 second hand) or an sl1 If you are going to be using it with a pc, PLEASE FOR GODS SAKE GET SERATO. Traktor on pc has hundreds of compatability issues. Il continue this post on my lappy tomorow.

Rookie Question about CDJ's+DJM's with Traktor
SolDios replied to Jarred's topic in Beginner DJ Tips & Tricks
^ I think I saw you at the sound pond meeting. From what I have seen, they also don't have advanced HID mode so alot of the features go missing. Latency on traktor is really good ususally, my i5 macbook with 4gb ram has 0.02 second delay, which is excellent! Time code allows you to use all the features of the cdj's, however if you use HID you can use any mixer. -
Go with NV, $10 a year, and really good service IMO Source: Im with them
-
Yeh, I think id pay the extra $50 and get that asus you linked. Gee that website does good deals!
-
Just as something to consider, however I think mitch has blown me out of the water with that asus. http://www.dell.com/au/p/inspiron-15r-5520/fs $800 for 3rd gen i7, 1TB hd blablabla Only 4gb ram but im pretty sure it's only 1 dimm so you can upgrade it really easily.

Here is her new song It should be afrojack feat paris not the other way round, it's obvious he did all the work also notice the transition/filter into the next track without touching the decks? There's an instrumental with her edited out which I quite like.

route the outputs of deck A to channel A. Route outputs of Deck B to channel B. Plug channel A into left side of mixer. Plug channel B into right side.

Gig friday night, 16th Kinda small-ish, bout 25 - 35 people there, still gave it 100% as I should! Anyways, rocked up 5:30, setup by 7, had to play laidback stuff till 10, then played commercial stuff till 12. Got $240 for the night, I could easily afford to get that sub if I wanted now. But il wait and see what happens once I turn 18 before I do something like that, and just keep using my 15" pa's as logical sub's. Had some real huge problems with traktor early night, I think it MIGHT have been cause I didn't restart my lappy (as in it was on sleep) Every 5 mins, the audio would start crackling, so id increase the latency, then it would do it again 5 mins later. It got to a point where I couldn't increase it anymore, so I changed the sample rate and started again at low latency. Was fine then 5 mins later it start again. Got to a point where it couldn't go any worse, so I pluged my phone into my mixer and played a track while I restarted my lappy, set latency/sample rate back to normal, mixed into another track, and all was fine. NOTE TO SELF, ALWAYS DO A RESTART BEFORE GIG. Good night though! Went really well!

Are you after a smaller sized controller, or a large one? If you are after something cheap to throw around, get a mixtrack pro second hand for $200 If your after a smaller quality one, get the MC-3000 Full metal chassis, dedicated filters, 4 deck control, great layout! If you want a full sided controller, id get an ns6 (it's kinda pricey, I heard gandy is considering selling his though) Otherwise, get a ddj-t1, you can get em off the pioneer referb store with a promo code REALLY cheap, Im pretty sure two people got there's for something crazy like $680

I had my words the wrong way around oops fix'd

IMO hot loops beat hot cues hands down, so much more useful, I have never seen someone use hot cues on 2000's for anything BUT a makeshift drum machine. Baaack on topic Sometimes I have found I haven't been able to use the master cause the master volume isn't up high enough (My audio volume is controlled by my mixer, not my amp) Edit: you beat me to it

Why do they all specifically say no powered speakers?
