  1. I don't buy anything off iTunes. Mainly use beatport, Juno or trackitdown for electronic purchases. What type of music are you after?
  2. I'll get something up for you

  9. You don't install drivers for it, that was a shit response from them. You could try updating to the latest version of Traktor. Check the MIDI troubleshooting linked from this page: http://www.numark.com/support/downloads/mixtrackpro You can download the app, and monitor what messages the mixtrack is sending. If it's sending weird controls (e.g. vol up and down, small increments) even when you're not moving the fader, you can pretty much confirm something is wrong. I'd take it back to the shop.
  10. Either something is on the fader that's affecting the contact, or it's possibly just a faulty unit. When you say you've had it one month, did you get it new?

  12. Downloading for tomorrow's commute Ps: getting on the same podcast series as Oliver is awesome man!
  13. Welcome
  14. There may be plenty of 2nd hand gear available for sale at near new price. Rarely sells at that price though.
  15. I was the first like on the Facebook page :3
  16. Choices really depend on budget. Audio technicas seem to be a popular choice for monitoring headphones without spending too much. Yamahas and KRKs are popular for monitors on a mid range budget
  17. Correct
  18. Should be able to get an anker from diff eBay listing to what Duz posted with aus power
  19. I have the incoming track playing in headphones. Headphones on one ear. Beatmatching to the track playing out loud. I'm using cdjs and mixer (no laptop/software). Beatmatching is a common & core skill, especially as there is no sync feature on the equipment I have.
  20. Using 2 different soundcards aggregated together with ASIO like you specify, each soundcard will have a different latency. So cueing up in your headphones (referencing one ear against master output) you may have it matched up sounding ok, but then when you bring the volume up on the track you've been cueing up, it won't actually be in time. Also yes, no volume faders on the X1. I guess you could map the faders on the F1 to your channels, but the mappings are going to get messy and confusing pretty quickly
  21. If you're only going to be using X1s, you lose pitch faders, platters, and a few other bits and pieces that your current controller has. Essentially you will be using all the auto cue, auto sync etc Most people using X1s to control decks (one prominent person that comes to mind is Richie Hawtin) use an external mixer (e.g. a DJM or Xone) with an external soundcard to route all the sound through, making it less compact than your current setup anyway.
  22. If you want to be able to use headphones as well as the master out, you'll need a soundcard, eg the NI Audio 2. Also note DJing with the x1s takes a lot of the base skill/technique away as the computer is doing most of the work for you (even more than when using the mixtrack).
  23. I personally use USB with CDJ 850s at home. I Used to use CDs back when some clubs I played only had 1000s. Even then I'd burn CDs specifically for the night, as it wasn't that often I had to use them. USB with rekordbox is much faster to prep, and allows for more freedom when mixing as you can have tunes organised in multiple ways. The only drawback with USB (on the cdj350s specifically) is the smaller screen compared to the 850/900/2000s, which might make it a pain to navigate than it's worth (personal opinion at the end of the day). I haven't personally used 350s to give a personal opinion on this, however others have said this to me. If usb is too much of a pain to navigate on the small screen, I'd fall back to CDs. IMO traktor/serato is too much of a pain for club use (if that's where you're aiming).
  24. I was looking at that last week. Should be able to have it up by next weekend
