  1. Thats amazing man well done! im sure it would be such a fun event.
  2. Forgot to mention before beatport mixes is on beta now. Its sad that soundcloud is being a bitch, but technically putting mixes online is a breach of the private usage of your music right? I.e its using the music for public broadcast which you need extra licenses for from memory.
  3. Might be really good, hopefully all the people that like shit music will go see Havana leaving you with people with good taste! You are talking about a regional town here. A big name comes even the people with good tastes will go because everyone else they know will be going. Not a lot you can do in these situations. Yeah that's true, never know your place might be more of a kick on one after havana
  4. Im trying to thing of my settings, i think i use 'remix' for all mine. Tag the appropiate tracks and artists and make sure 'all rights reserved' is ticked.
  5. We need to make our own mix hosting site haha! I seem to get lucky on Soundcloud i havn't had stuff blocked in a long time.
  6. Might be really good, hopefully all the people that like shit music will go see Havana leaving you with people with good taste!
  7. Not really, majority of people still put their mixes on soundcloud. Heaps of people including myself wont touch mixcloud because how damn slow it is, i find it literally almost impossible to listen to a mix on it.
  8. So along with the Summafieldayze lineups, shore thing was also announced. Chemical Brothers, Fedde Le Grand and Knife Party. Personally really love all those artists, and certainly is better for me than the likes of snoop dogg or whoever they had last year.
  9. cheers man will suss it out!
  10. Any reports of how well it works with ableton? Looking at something that will allow me to map my eq and track levels for doing mixes.
  11. Im not overly sure but the type selection (demo/remix) etc i think plays a part as well. Like andy said you can do silence or make an intro, also try and stay away from the real popular radio stuff because it picks that up straight away.
  12. I was losing my shit ace venturas latest mix last night will check this out
  13. Love his setup
  14. Will def have a crack Imo hard to beat Brodinski's techno remix
  15. Really dig video mixes man well in!
  16. You can use the CDJ's in HID mode and use their soundcards which output like you were using usb or cdj to the mixer, just like normal.
  17. Good mix man, but you lose points for the track at 10.30 fuck me it used to drive me crazy at work on the radio lol
  18. Sick site man, what does it cost for hosting these days for a site like that?
  19. My suggestion try different brands like denon before you buy one, if you havnt used them to make sure you like it.
  20. The 600s are by all means a solid mixer ,but they will all be fairly old and thrashed, you might be able to push a second hand 700 down to a close price.
  21. I've tried doing them on ableton it's horrible, doing mixes on decks ftw.
  22. Great post, i honestly prefer the sound of a live mix, just seems to have more character than a perfectly structured and planned one.
  23. Nothing wrong with trying to strive for the perfect mix dude.
  24. You basically make playlists/mixtapes im guessing
  25. Tells everyone to not bother with stupid debates, starts stupid debate I do agree with this though, im trying to ignore the whole sync etc war now. Technology is not going to go away, embrace it and take your sets to places previously not possible. BUT, if you use the technology and cant achieve anything better than what people could 5 years ago without the technology, you need to either go back and figure it out or find a new hobby.
