Can't comment on the specifics of those mentioned. But in a previous life I was enrolled in a bachelor of arts (music production major) at Southern Cross Uni at Lismore. Whilst I failed miserably and pulled out pretty quickly (mostly due to first time living out of home and too much weed.) But I have 2 points to contribute: 1. A full degree will involve studying many subjects that have little to do with the production side of things. There will be quite a great deal of units like music history which may not be of interest. 2. There are very, very, very few jobs going in that industry. You had want to be exceptuonally good and have developed some contacts by the time you finish to get a job. Saying all that, if I was wanting to go down that path again I would try the specialised schools (you mentioned). I'm only aware of SAE which seemed fairly highly regarded by the lecturers I had.
