  1. I think you have taken it too literally. It's not pointing out any individuals. Just those who sneer at others who use the technology available to them.
  2. Particularly like this bit.

    Intro

    Hey hey
  4. Starting with a controller is a lot easier. But you will quickly come to rely on the extra features you get compared to CDJ's. This is my problem. I have to be able to see my song now. If course if you have no intention of ever playing out then this isn't really a problem (like me). I purely make mixes for my own enjoyment. But you want to eventually play out, and money really isn't a concern then go for the mixer and CDJ's combo. You will be better for it in the long run. The new pioneer stuff is awesome (controllers). Native Instruments S4 is worth a look too.
  5. With you there Mattus.

  7. Good to see some Facebookers get in on this.
  8. Ah... So just like real DJ competitions it is really about how many friends you can bring along.
  9. YSM practically did too before going back into the outro of one of the other songs. Also dropped a Lana Del Ray sample over it the cheeky bugger.
  10. Having a bit of a listen through them. Interesting hearing how different people can attack the same list of songs. In particular the Claptone song stands out to me as it is more of a traditional House song compared to the others which are more Progressive.
  11. Who's Code of Silence? Cupe have you received a link to their mix? They have done one but unsure who they are? They commented on mine with a link to their mix. Pretty good from what I have heard so far. Fuck it... I'll just link it here. https://soundcloud.com/codeofsilencedj/adjf-comp-code-of-silence
  12. Any chance people can make their mixes downloadable? I really really really hate listening to Soundcloud 128kbps streams. The downloads are (usually) the full 320kbps file. I know when I listen to my own the EQing, especially for the bass sounds off when not hearing the full quality. Can I suggest anyone judging download them too for accurate assessment.
  13. Oh dear... Expect major crack downs for the Summer festivals.
  14. Awesome. We got some more coming? Not much time left.
  15. Add to that the financial situation with the promoters at Future.
  16. Yeah. I like a few different genres. My next will be a mid tempo glitch hop/moombah mix. I think it was listening to one of your mixes that inspired me to do that last one.

    Suuuup!!

Good to see you here. One of my favourite corners of the internet.
  18. No, not too many hard stylers round these parts.
  19. Good to see you here. Head over and give an intro. Crundy will appreciate some of your mixes (chuck some links up in the appropriate section too).
  20. Work plus not having anywhere to set my gear up. About to pull it all apart again now.
  21. Used one.... Just can't seem to work out how to squeeze the other in. And I'm out of time.
  22. Not a winner because it is missing an element. But I would rather present it as it is than making the mix worse. https://soundcloud.com/dj-drc1/overture-competition-mix Set list... 1. No Eyes ( Original Mix ) - Claptone Feat. Jaw 2. Summertime Sadness (Cedric Gervais Remix) - Lana Del Rey 3. Vertigo (Original Mix) - Daddy's Groove & Cryogenix 4. Mammoth (Original Mix) - Dimitri Vegas, Moguai & Like Mike 5. Chasing Summers (R3hab & Quintino Remix) - Tiesto 6. D# Fat (Original Mix) - Armin van Buuren & W&W 7. Rasputin (Original Mix) - Hard Rock Sofa 8. Ten (Original Club Mix) - Sander van Doorn & Mark Knight vs Underworld I really liked the song choices. Especially the last 3 I played. I particularly like long transitions, and these 3 songs were basically played almost completely over each other.
  23. Any clues what you are doing with the accapellas? To me they just don't fit anywhere. I have what I think is one of my best mixes but when I try to squeeze them in it detracts from the mix rather than adds to it like they should. I haven't played with accapellas before so not sure if it my skill level is the problem.
