  1. FileZilla Cross Platform FTP client that I use. Nice, simple, and effective http://filezilla-project.org
  2. Try logging in here - https://co.native-instruments.com/?id=updates If they will be anywhere they will be there otherwise if you can't find a download can you just burn copies of yours?

    GirlDJ =)

    welcome, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here
  7. I wouldn't really be dropping any bangers. Your job is to build vibe, not drop tunes that the whole floor wants to go nuts too. Nobody wants to dance hard @ 9pm so you need to build the energy up so they have a few drinks and by the end of the night you hopefully have a dfloor. For commercial/party I'd be looking at the aria chart singles and dance charts (not club charts) and getting the tamer stuff / tamer remixes. Nothing too heavy For party tunes anything that everyone will know is good. This is where I'd feel more compelled to experiment with some different genres. Rnb and hip hop genres have a lot of popular party tunes. However it also comes down to how comfortable you are with playing that stuff - maybe some 128 remixes of those type of tunes would be suitable Saying all this though - never been to candys. I have played 10pm sets though Hope this helps
  8. Haven't listened yet - but even just looking at the waveform it looks like you have your gains too high somewhere. If it all looks fine on the mixer try lowering the gain in audacity. Try adjusting the line in gain down (to the left) until the recording level stops clipping (touching the far right hand side)
  9. must have missed this first time round, nice
  10. sounds good. all the best with getting it signed man

  13. Hey mate, I suggest looking at the beginner DJ tutorials to work on your core beatmatching and phrasing skills. You can find the videos here -> viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6974 I'd focus on the first 5 with Sarah Main, these cover the basics. The core skills you should probably focus on -beatmatching -phrasing -timing -song selection - mostly to create flow and so you don't get vocal clashes. This is where both songs in the mix have vocals at the same time and it creates a big clash which doesn't sound very good. If you have any more questions post back and i'll help out where i can

  18. I personally don't see the point in a lot of these apps as I have real gear & you can't mix properly on those imo It's more for the everyone can be a 'dj' crowd
  19. some good tracks in this one man. some parts the mixing is a tad wack but you already identified that. good shizz
  20. They released the whole EP for free earlier in the month for a while. Is good. Not sure if still free on SC or only on beatport. Either way a good grab Top releases @ shebang lately
  21. For your budget - I would advise getting a controller and not spending the whole budget. Get some small speakers for practicing at home, Then hire PA speakers for when you need them at gigs. This way you don't have too much outlay, and if you want to move into clubs you can upgrade to cdjs down the track. If you want to head in the mobile route you can buy your own PA speakers if you wish
  22. Have you tried serato scratch live if you have an sl2?
  23. this is pretty g man. keen to hear the final product
  24. nice work bud. getting some great exposure with your releases
