  1. just watched this and reminded me of mark ronson in the lineup. Have always rated him as a quality producer (even if i'm not a fan of all the artists he has produced for). His stuff is top quality.
  2. A few places have both now. Not the point. anyway... Some places have djm 2000's nowadays but with many 800's still going and the 900 being a cheaper alternative that most are more than happy with, not many are spending the extra to get it
  3. has to be line in, not mic in FYI. Which i'm pretty sure jim has a macbook anyway so he is sweet in that regard
  4. no it is a hardware update as well. Pioneer wouldn't give it to you that easy
  5. for some Not sure on pricing yet
  6. The new functions allowing you to re sample parts of the track on the fly looks sick. What do you guys think?
  7. haha. pretty cool
  8. nice @ both
  9. no need to continually bump the thread every 2 hours. thanks
  10. Good article. Well worth the read for anyone looking at scoring gigs
  11. downloaded, will pump it in the car tomorrow dude!
  12. for the small amount of cd's i burn, i do audio discs and print the tracks with key onto the disc (i have a printer that prints on the cd). not all the players support mp3 discs i don't think and the only reason i ever do CD's is for backward compatibility
  13. Agree with you, however a) the screen on 350s are tiny which makes it more difficult to browse. how much of an inconvenience this is i'm not sure as i've never used 350s personal preference. i personally use USB. back to OP's question, if you try usb's and find the navigation fine on the smaller screen by all means use them, but if you feel more comfortable using CD's then that will also work fine
  14. That is one point I tried to make Steve, however it is something to consider to save burning heaps of CDs down the track If that's the path he wants to take. Not to derail but yes it can be extremely easy (or difficult) to get club gigs. All about who you know
  15. diggin' it
  16. Mutrix has some good tutorials, he most likely has some electro ones as well as dubstep
  17. bumpity bump so i remember to watch more of these soon
  18. ^^
  19. ^majority of clubs have 2000s these days but it is something to be aware of, especially if your playing back rooms and stuff where they put their older gear and that may still be 1000s
  20. massive ups for putting the ugly show in there lol you sir are the sickest of whales + cupe's post
  21. @ the remix, i have been following mutrix for a while, his productions are always quality
  22. Welcome As alexj said check out the beginners section at the threads there, and feel free to make your own thread(s) if you need / want too. We also have a good production section which you may want to check out. peace
