  1. Very nice source
  2. interesting read, even though it doesn't affect me as i live nowhere near syd. Will have to wait and see how this pans out
  3. So Much Awesome Gear
  4. Yer have to say I go with jonny more on this one. I like to throw dubstep into my sets, and atm I only play in a club that's as commercial that you'll get. I've still found you can create a build up to it, then when it's the right time, drop a few dubstep songs and people love it. I'd even like to work on getting a gig at a dubstep event or something similar as I'm starting to enjoy mixing it more and more as I get better. At the end of the day though I listen to both some of the old and some of the new dubstep - totally different type of sound, similar tempo, given same name when it's different music.
  5. Welcome bro
  6. Hectic setup dude, very nice!
  7. PM'ed Spector
  8. If you're really interested in using Rekorbox, I'd sell the 1000's and use the money to get 850's. Even if he did get 850s, your still using USB not laptop to play the music. Only 900s and 2000s can use link function to play straight off laptop
  9. Yer I use to only just fit my case in old car, no problem with ute obviously. Your setup would be bigger again with the djm 2000 though
  10. You can't use record box as its only compatible with 350s 850s, 900s and 2000s. Your only options for using 1000s with a laptop are really traktor or serato time code setup, but that is a bit of an investment
  11. Lol. Douche
  12. What hobberz and russel said
  13. Sounds good man, only thing that jonny mentioned, drums seems slightly overpowered by the synths and loses a little bit of that punch. Other than that good work man
  14. Some of their products are top notch (NS6, NS7) but have read that the mixdeck isn't the best of quality. Alot of people don't recommend any all in one system at all, but I mean always read around before you purchase EDIT: Saying that, I had a mixtrack and not everyone vouched for it, but i thought it was pretty good value for money
  15. http://itunes.apple.com/au/app/djay-fre ... 27929?mt=8 Had a quick look, the app I linked looks like you can manually beatmatch songs. You will obviously have both songs playing in the headphones. iMaschine is more of a beat production app, if your interesting in making your own beats
  16. Lol Street. Cheers guys, feels good knowing you guys (and girls) appreciate what I try to put into the forum Look forward to another year with you all
  17. Why do you say this? I have my cdjs and mixer all in the one roadcase, now all I have to do is plug in to power and speakers and I'm right to go, saves unplugging and replugging every time I set up/pack up, and I can carry it all at once (case is on wheels as well). I do admit turntables would be better separate due to the weight though
  18. Welcome man
  19. ^This. When i started DJing and listening to more EDM styles I had a rough idea, but had trouble telling between some genres. Now I can listen to a lot of different EDM music and tell you what genre it is, and it has just come with listening and mixing music more. I do get the odd track on beatport that they will put under prog house and its very debatable whether you think its prog or not but yer, just listening to each of the styles of music and you will get a pretty good idea of what the different genres sound like.
  20. Yer there is no need to go spend money on software with a setup like that man! However if you feel the need to use a computer, you can hook your cdjs and djm up to your laptop using ethernet cables and an ethernet hub. Then you can load tracks onto the cdjs straight from the computer, and also preview tracks in your headphones through having the mixer hooked up. You use ethernet cable to hook the cdjs, mixer and your computer up to a hub like this: Your setup would then look like this (note you can also plug your mixer into the hub) Then all you need to do is install recordbox, which can be found at - http://www.prodjnet.com/rekordbox/suppo ... ap_lang=en You can preset cues, hotcues, loops etc for tracks on there. Just an idea instead of using serato/traktor when you already have access to this!
  21. Nah, there isn't many of these things that people use. Most controllers are hooked up via laptop. Numark mixdeck is another one that doesn't need a laptop. Again, can't vouch for the quality though
  22. refer to my post?
  23. I'd call that moar drumstep style, its about 180 bpm
  24. If i had money and wasn't moving out of home this week i would nearly be keen
  25. nice one eggs
