What gandy said. And to check out all the technical info about quality, encoding etc. that doesn't always show up in properties, i use a program called Invisor for mac. There would be a windows equivalent somewhere

All in one systems generally have an inferior build quality, due to using cheaper parts and not the same level of quality control. Cheaper parts = cheaper sound cards used = inferior sound quality overall at all volumes
