mattus, another thing to think of if they take a sample and re record that sample with another persons voice (e.g. what tomy did with somebody that you used to know slop rock cover) that would be classed as a cover of the song and not a remix? Can anyone confirm that

Not sure why your saying this man. I've seen people in clubs Dj Vinyl, Vinyl Timecode, CDJs, CDJ Timecode as well controllers (DDJ-S1's and Traktor S4's. They are all accepted formats these days.

Trust me on this and others will agree man, your better off using traktor or serato itch with a controller. They are a much better program, and you shouldn't have any trouble getting used to them as they as the basics are all the same.
