  1. Is good to have both on cue for abit to match levels as well
  2. Very tempted to buy a third 900 haha
  3. What club has a pretty good system in the back room, not amazing but good martin boxes and is more than enough for the room. When we played had the gains around 12 and the master 3 or so which was fine. The booth isnt amazing but its good enough, you will like that nobody can annoy you in the booth at the back room got plastic at the front and you go in a door into the little room. Play a mix and appropriately for your time slot, someone else mentioned know your tracks this will be important especially because youre on cdj800 mk2s so no wave form. HAVE FUN, enjoy yourself bro haha its just what you do every day in your room, same shit have a blast. Play this song called levels by skrillex it goes off Good luck man, disregard ^ that sentence haha
  4. Que a million tribute bootlegs/edits haha

    TOTD?

    Love it
  7. In my mind is actually a decent song though, however it doesn't have the impact on your average listener like levels did. Club wise internet friends is still pretty over played. Can't really comment on the commercial stuff because i dont play it or listen to the radio anymore.
  8. yeah of course, have rarely found one without but plenty with useless ones. I generally flick the cans off once ive hit the next track in and happy with the matching, but especially for doing mixtapes i think headphones is better as majority of people will listen to them on headphones or pc speakers anyway.
  9. All the crap on the radio
  10. Lightsounds wollongong would do hire id imagine as well?

    TOTD?

    Modek killing it as always
  12. Funny how everyone uses different methods, i havn't tried splitting them but generally dont have issues with cueing two tracks in the cans. Out of interest does anyone leave their cans on throughout the mix and switch over the knob from cue to master? I dismissed this when i started out but playing in clubs and competitions where you have no booth monitor or youre behind the speakers in a little room, i think it can help quite a bit to leave the cans on, although not the best idea on a big system as you wont get an accurate representation of the music being pumped to the audience.
  13. Ah well if they are built exactly the same then all good but was just my impression today, nah everyone used usbs and i noticed it quite a bit slower than my 9's, the 850s have probly been smashed too.
  14. Imagine if you dj'd bro end of the night youd have a chick on each of your fingers haha
  15. Well im not trying to bullshit but when i used them today they just didnt have the same feel as the 9's or 2's, the source buttons felt cheap and didnt work as well, both cd and usb loaded slower, the scroll knob also seemed delayed compared to the other models, jog felt alot lighter and not as good either. I also found the screen really noticable as the decks were quite high on stands and it was outside but everything just felt so squished and hard to see. You have your opinion but i have 900s and home which i use everyday and just used the 850s at lunch time and no way felt the same, another club dj thought they were crap compared to the others as well, just giving my thoughts.
  16. Sorry to bump this again but played on the 850s today and 100% go 900s, quality wise the whole 850 unit just felt cheaper and worse. Really didnt like the screen, obviously coming down from the 900 doesnt help but yeah if you can def go the 900s man.
  17. Played on them at the canterbury launch, not terrible but not amazing. Despite Lightsound's obvious bias the screen wasnt very good i dont like how it's portrait instead of landscape, the eq whilst more detailed is fairly useless because you cant see the whole song at once (unless this a setting you can change?) It loaded stuff very quick which was nice but really apart from that wasnt anything special, the effects were pretty horrible def wouldnt be dropping them in a live set, they are similar to the sound quality of cdj 200 effects or djm 600 ones, good for a beginner but that's about it. Job, cues and pitch was only average, again not terrible but not up to pioneer standards. I know it seems like im straight out comparing them to pioneer but please when you blatantly copy another manufactures features and design you are going to get that. The biggest issues with these, pricing. In no way at the current price would i consider them over any player on pioneer's line, they should be cheaper because essentially they are an entry level unit, quite similar in quality to the reloops but really for people to be interested they have to be cheaper. I'm not sure exactly why lightsounds bother pushing these so much? It is because you dont get enough margin on the pioneer gear?
  18. Yep i personally and work uses him top bloke
  19. Nah man wollongong cheers boys
  20. Line never ends bro highly suggest getting there early you wont have to wait as long
  21. Good stuff now lineup for 4 hours lol
  22. Won my uni dj comp heat today Was cool playing out of the redbull truck.
  23. Lol just enter its such slim chances youll actually get into the comp anyway, its not like sign up and youre in.
  24. Was just they didnt seem to last that long in a club where they are run 8 or so hours a day over the weekend and whatever, soho in sydney has the same problem with theirs too. They would be perfect for a pub or mobile work but would look elsewhere for a club bro
