bonz its because the output is usually to a mixer which then outputs to the sound system. as i said it wasnt primarily made for the studio albeit fer sure you can use it

are you sure you want the NI sound cards? i mean if you aint gonna be rocking traktor there are plenty of other cards for studios.

A laptop and a controller of sorts is the way forward, like it or not. to what level it is integrated with existing club equipment is entirely up to each DJ. more and more DJs are using just controllers to mix these days in club situations.... take pete tong for example im all for controllers but they will never be the club standard for at least the next decade even longer. some clubs dont even have cdj's.

Audio 4 has 2 ins 2 outs. Audio 8 has 4 ins 4 outs. each in and out is 2 "channels" being for left and right. If you run in mono then yes technically you can run 4 devices thru the audio 4

yeah a lot scratchers like the straight arm. chev was saying the straights on the ST150's have more noise? but just like the torque arguement (i.e. more torque the better), we have to remember that in DMC comps they were using techs with less torque and with non-straight arms. so while it may be preferred its mos def not required.

dont know the song and im behind the great wall so cant check the vid. why dont you just create your own drop using the loop and echo of your cdj's and/ or mixer. you know the old trick of looping, then chopping the loop until its rapid fire (but slowly enough so its like a build), then into echo, then drop back into the chorus of the song. not that i could do it
