  2. Downloading for the trip back home now
  3. cool idea ysm, i like
  4. When i had dlna set up i found ps3 media server got a bit slow, can't remember which one of these i had but they are probably better than the free one if you want to spend the 15-20 bucks: http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/31698/playback http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/26673/medialink After looking at them a bit more, pretty sure it was the second one i used
  5. As has been pointed out, turntables are far from dead man
  6. Ohhhhh. Again not really if you have 4 decks going, e.g. 2 decks + 2 sample decks. All those outputs get used pretty quick
  7. Mitch

    Mixes

Bbc radio 1 mixes are usually pretty good
  8. You should Be able to get an i5 for that price, I'll hook you up with some links when I get on the computer
  9. Djm 700 is only around 1k new so why would he sell it for 1k used
  10. This^. Nice read
  11. Liking it very much man, will definitely be supporting with my wallet once released!
  12. How? He has just taken the text from another source and made a thread
  13. It's pretty bad sol
  14. officially derailed. but i agree, either buy good upfront or hold out and stick with cdj's til later down the track
  15. That laptop is plenty enough. The two best online sites that sell new DJ gear in australia are: http://www.storedj.com.au http://www.djwarehouse.com.au Or you can look in the buy&sell section, ebay etc. for used controllers.
  16. By controller he means a midi controller. It is a device that you use to control your dj software instead of your keyboard and mouse, in a more dj friendly manner. They have a layout similar to a mixer, and alot of them also have a built in sound card. So to start DJing all you would need is a midi controller with a built In sound card, a laptop, and some headphones.
  17. Wouldn't recommend a c2d for 400, when you can buy a brand new i5 for 150 bucks more. Would recommend something like this: http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/433 ... 50916.html Fairly cheap, yet powerful. Do you have a budget to work too?
  18. I'll be in the middle of my own set at local club so won't be able to tune in, but good luck guys. Defkon I pumped your culture clash set again today, good shit I'm sure you guys will tear byp house party apart
  19. Sounds like what your doing is more on the producing side than DJing anyway man, its a different skill. Will check your tracks out when i get some internet man
  20. Your mean x1 or s4? No he means pioneer ddj-s1
  21. Don't know anything about these things but its a decent saving from a 100% feedback seller, if it does what you want it to and you'll be happy with it go for it i guess
  22. It will catch on.
  23. Some people may say Don't sell, but they arent in your situation. There is also the other side, where you think of saving every dollar you can. It's all about weighing up whether you think the loss of your cdjs is worth that cash. I just moved house and haven't moved my cdjs to new house yet. It's been 3 days and I miss them already, hate to think of not owning them at all. Just something to think about, whether the pain of not having them is worth the money. I don't think I could live without my decks it's almost an escape for me, not sure how much you value them though
