WIN A WORLD DJ TOUR IN IBIZA - LAS VEGAS - DUBAI
Kodiak replied to FameMusic's topic in DJ Headquarters
My guess is it is more of a producer competition. There is no need to bring friends, promote the event or sell tickets so it's got nothing at all to do with DJing. -
I don't stream anything. Don't have the quota on mobile (or don't want to use it for that) and why stream shitty 128kbps when I can listen to the good stuff directly from my devices? I'm just particularly sensitive to lower quality music. Why did I pay thousands for my hifi gear and spent time and money upgrading my car stereo to listen to shit sources material (and the better the gear the more obvious it is). Dance music is already overly compressed and sounds shitty enough as it is. I also don't stream from Soundcloud for the same reasons. I just use it for crate digging and reviewing. But beyond that for me music = moods. And most of my daily life is spent listening to easy listening rock, acoustic, blues and singer songwriter type of music (Jack Johnson's, "Taylor" tops my iTunes play count, Ben Harper's, "Burn One Down" and John Mayer's, "Who Says" not far behind....Hmmm 2 of those 3 are about smoking weed?)

Does A Good DJ Make You 'Dance More & Drink Less'?

I took that video as they didn't reveal who it was until after the time passed. That was my initial thoughts too until I watched the video. -

Might find some second hand as 4k monitors are starting to hit the market and people may be starting to upgrade.
-
I am familiar with the Muteki.... It certainly is loud.... That's about all I'll say about it though.

Don't know which is worse Beats or Sony? Beats actually aren't that bad, if they were half the price. And anything Sony with a speaker is pretty shithouse.

Teen loses finger at Croydon rave, continues dancing 'because the bass was hard' Unwavering hedonism is alive and well in a disused sorting office in Croydon it seems, where a 16-year-old partier "skanked it out for half an hour" at an illegal rave after accidentally severing his finger on the dance floor. "Rave f*cked me up #rumnbass want my finger back...#sh*t #happens," the reveller wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture of him holding a rollie cigarette with his four remaining fingers. Astonishingly, given the setting of the accident and the fact he partied on undeterred, 16-year-old Josh claims he was sober at the time of the injury. In an interview with Vice, he explained exactly what went down: "Well, at about 1AM we were up in the house room, but I don’t really like house so I was waiting for the drum 'n' bass to kick in. As soon as I heard it, me and my mate went down there. Five minutes in, the fire alarm starting going off and everyone was like, "Rip it off! Rip it off!" So I thought I’d give it a go. I was completely sober at the time. I jumped up, grabbed it and my little finger got caught in the case because it was all broken, and as I came to rip it back down, my little finger got ripped off completely." Asked what he did next, Josh replied: "I looked at my hand and my little finger was gone – the bone was sticking out. It’s the weirdest feeling; one second you’re fine and your little finger is there, and the next second it’s gone. It shoves reality up your backside. I was in so much pain and shock that the first thing that hit my head was the beat and the bass. The bass was hard, so I just ripped off my top, wrapped it around my finger and tied it up as tight as I could and skanked it out for half an hour. My mentality was, 'I’ve only been here for an hour, I’ve paid £10 for this night, I’ve lost my little finger – am I seriously going to go? Nah, I’m going to skank until I can’t skank any more.' After that, my mate dragged me down to the paramedics." The boy asked paramedics if he could just be bandaged up and "rave on", but was told he needed to go to hospital immediately. Pressed as to why he persisted to dance after losing a digit, Josh said: "Well, what can you do? There are fit girls around you, the bass is hard, the music is popping. I didn’t want to be the sore thumb sticking out – or the sore pinky – so I was like, "F*ck it, let's skank on and enjoy it." Friends later told him that a "bunch of stoners found [his] little finger and were playing catch with it." http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/teen-loses-finger-at-croydon-rave-continues-dancing-because-the-bass-was-hard-9546200.html

Was going to say youtube might be best, but many will have music layered over already.

Those Focals are so pwetty! This reminds me... One of the many things I have put off forever is the sub box in my car.

Agree wholeheartedly.

But do they got the hookups for gigs like the other joint?

Lets not confuse voluntary warranty with statutory warranty. Statutory warranty (consumer gaurantee now I believe) is completely different to the voluntary warranty that a manufacturer provides, which in most cases is that 1year period. If the retailer still was open for business he would have an opportunity to make a consumer guarantee (statutory warranty) claim. You probably still could communicate with the manufacturer directly under the assumption that you would expect these speakers to last a lot longer than 2 years and the fact that they typically do. ACC Consumer Gaurantees PDF You're right.. I used the incorrect word. It is a 1 year consumer warranty we have here, with most places now only offer this as their voluntary warranty too unless you pay more.
-
You may have had a 3 year warranty but without the paperwork it would be hard to do much about it. Australia has a 1 year statutory warranty on all these things so that is all most places give these days. Regardless a local repairer would be the best option. Saves possible costs to send back East side.
-
No shop is likely to send it off for you as it is out of warranty but they should be able yo advise who their authorised repairer is and let you do it yourself. Also could look up electronic repair places directly and ask them if they can fix it.

Not exactly, the red ones with 100mm wheels are from A to B And the white ones are for the skate park. Wow... Most owners of those skates usually wouldn't be seen in the other pair. mine... Sorry... Bit off topic there.
