  1. Congratulations!! Mitch and all the others may as well give up now. You can't beat that.
  2. http://edm.com/blog/australian-producers-edm I don’t know about you, but it feels like every week that I hear of a new artist from “the land down under” that is absolutely killing it. In the last few years, the Australian EDM scene has developed a powerful and unique take on a handful of genres, and the artists behind these movements are generating a lot of commotion in the process. EDM.com has recently scavenged the burgeoning scene from its bush to its outback, highlighting the many people involved in the country's growing culture. From veteran producers to those just beginning, here is a walkthrough of the Australian EDM scene today! *Disclaimer: There are still hundreds of artists not mentioned in this list - if you feel like we missed someone, please let us know via Facebook or Twitter! Australia has contributed a number of world-renowned artists to the progressive house and electro house scenes. Mega-acts such as Tommy Trash, Dirty South, NERVO, and Hook N Sling have all developed fan bases world-wide thanks to their extensive prowess in these genres. The country's big-league sound doesn't end there, as it is also responsible for bass-centric acts such as Knife Party and their now defunct father-group Pendulum. Both of their powerful catalogues in house, dubstep, and drum n' bass have undoubtedly left a large impact on the bass-heavy cultures of the world. https://soundcloud.com/tommytrash/sets/tommy-trash-lord-of-the-trance https://soundcloud.com/knifepartyinc/knife-party-internet-friends-1 Along with to these well-established acts, there is a handful of other artists that are pushing a new generation of sounds and genres. In the Melbourne Bounce scene, artists such as Bombs Away, Will Sparks, and Joel Fletcher are all paving the way for this cousin-genre of electro house. Artists like Flume and Emoh Instead are also seeing success due to their unique takes on house music and downtempo, although their combined side-project What So Not is generating the most attention as one of trap music's hottest acts today. https://soundcloud.com/bombs-away/calvin-harris-summer-bombs https://soundcloud.com/whatsonot/what-so-not-touched utside of these world-renowned acts, Australia is also harboring a growing number of up-and-coming talent that is now entering the limelight. Genre-aficionados have yet to properly label the works of artists like Wave Racer, Just A Gent, Hayden James, Yahtzel, and LDRU. For those of you new to their music, they each demonstrate a unique and "uplifting" approach to house, trip-hop, disco, ambient, and tropical songs. Their productions generally resonate best in a relaxed environment, although they are still able to provide a dancefloor-welcoming vibe in their multi-farious catalogues. https://soundcloud.com/ryanhemsworth/ryan-must-be-destroyed-wave-racer-remix https://soundcloud.com/yahtzel/peking-duk-high-ft-nicole-millar-yahtzel-remix When it comes to the deeper 4x4 genres, there is still quite a very strong variety in the Australian community, as Sonny Fodera, Anna Lunoe, Motez, and Lancelot are all currently providing a mixture of deep house, garage, tech house, and summer-time vibes. Some of the scene's lesser-known acts such as Golden Features, Go Freek, and Dom Dolla have also started to turn heads with their darker and more "shallow" approach to house music as well. https://soundcloud.com/tonicollision/motez-own-up-original-mix https://soundcloud.com/golden-features/tell-me-1 http://edm.com/blog/australian-producers-edm
  3. Hey.... Welcome Please feel free to post up some mixes in the relevant sections. You are more likely to get some responses that way. edit: oops... Was on Tapatalk and thought this was intro fred

  5. i just keep getting messages about mixes. not remixes generally some silence and a generic filter works well though I got a take down notification and the song was well and truly in the middle of the mix so I think they're getting more vigilant trying to keep publishers happy. Ironically from my experience most producers get just as pissed because peoples mixes are being taken down that involve their tunes.
  6. So you are getting lights but no sound?
  7. Sent email. No refund but they reinstated my pro account to the paid date plus a month.... Meh.
  8. Was going yo say the same as AlexJ. Unless you are #bigtime nobody will notice or care. I reckon when this becomes a major or primary source of income then this is where you should develop a niche. Then once you are big enough you can then change and take the opportunity to lead trends. A good example of this to me is the change in Deadmau5' productions or even Avicii with his western influenced music.
  9. Other thing I found out is they do this immediately, not when your subscription is paid up to. I had nearly a year left and went back to free and it changed immediately, not at the end of the billing cycle as one would reasonably assume. edit: Damn it. I want my bloody money back. Sent off an email.
  10. Hey hey
  11. Speed Skater? *edit by Cupe - removed quote of above post*
  12. And located in Wagga so nobody is ever likely to want to pick them up.
  13. Listened, downloaded and enjoyed. Reminds me I haven't done an electro set for ages.
  14. Welcome... And thats a shitty story to start off with. Have you reported it or done anything about it? I realise there is no chance of getting your money back but having those reports helps to create profiles and statistics. One day they may all add up and help stop some of these bastards.
  15. For those looking to find a font for their name dafont.com is a great source. You can type your name in and scroll through the various styles to find what you like.
  16. Gotta make it memorable somehow.
  17. Good shit. Really enjoying your stuff.
  18. I don't see any cog? Maybe that's for your view only so you can download your own mixes. Otherwise I get no cog and can't obtain Can't see either, but can see it on my own. The only ones I've got are ones you already had before.
  19. Mixlr mixes are 160 or 190.... Can't remember which right now.
  20. The comments are near on impossible to read over the back ground. Could they be moved either side? Also the built in player is gone or am I missing it? I liked it and thought it was a good improvement. Saved opening up something else.
  21. I like Soundhound for the fact you don't even need to listen to the genuine source material (ie you can sing or hum into it). But not long ago Shazzam teamed up with Beatport so has a much, much bigger library of EDM. Although I find I use it a lot to find out what that song is that has probably been on top of the charts that everyone else already knows the name of.
  22. I like the first too. But I'd rethink the TPG bit for reasons stared above.
  23. Beatport pro app if you're on mac There is a beatport downloader on PC too. I think it gives you the link at the checkout?
  24. I think this is a petty fucking solid effort!
