  1. I read somewhere of someone using this to be able to mix from the dancefloor and used it as a bit of a novelty in the club.
  2. I see Beatport is offering a deal to upgrade all your tunes to lossless AIFF format. Is this worth it? I normally just get the 320kbps MP3's. Would I notice much of an audible difference? I also am not performing live (but who's to say I never will) so ultimately my mixes will be downsampled and put online anyway. Also I don't get all my tunes from Beatport, so there is a fair chance that in my mixes I would have a combo of both formats. Would this be noticible from song to song in a mix?
  3. I work 4 on 4 off shift work. So have a bit of spare time up my sleeve usually spent playing golf (free yay), playing games, playing with my hobbies (DJ, photography) and masturbating. But hard to find time for the yardwork and housework in between all the other important shit I am doing. I am separated so have my daughter on my days off. Over the holidays I haven't had much of a chance to mix much but am keen to get back in and mix up some new shit.
  4. I kinda like the next page buttons. They disappear when you are trying to read the page and come back when you touch the screen. Nice not having to scroll all the way back to the top or bottom to change page too.
  5. Took me a while to find the "participated" and "new" sections. But I am liking what I see so far.
  6. Some changes (I am finding) but will work them out. Will frustrate me going between v2 and v1 (HD on iPad) though.
  7. Tomorrowland Festival organizers Plan Worldwide Expansion: Includes North America, South America, Australia & more Through the insane lineup and jaw dropping production and stage design, the Belguim based music festival Tomorrowland has become the premier electronic event with a worldwide buzz that is through the roof. Look below at last year’s after-movie for a glimpse at the madness that ensues (The video has over 35 million views so far). Well the European festival is finally about to embark on a worldwide expansion. “We will do it, but on our conditions, and only in places where we feel comfortable.” The festival organizers have confirmed plans for a worldwide expansion including North America, South America, Australia, Africa, and Asia. The organizers have made a strong point to say “We will do it, but on our conditions, and only in places where we feel comfortable.” Words can’t express how exciting this is.. This a worldwide domination I think everyone is supporting. Ultra and EDC have some strong competition to look out for now. http://thissongissick.com/blog/2013/tomorrowland-festival-organizers-plan-worldwide-expansion-north-america/
  8. I'm over the shock too and have found everything I use regularly. I like the search feature.
  9. I'm newb myself.... But in this I would have aimed for that second melody to kick in on the beat around 0:22 ie soon as the synths in the first song stopped. But without actually hearing it I can't be sure, but to me that would be the ideal phrasing. There would be some overlapping of tunes, which is a good thing if it sounds ok and where mixing in key plays a big part. edit: Not sure what you are using, but on my S4 I probably would grab a 2 bar loop of just the beat of the first song at the end which would allow me to fade it out longer maybe drop the beat out completely a bar o two before it kicks back in on the incoming song..... Just my thoughts.
  10. GREMM1S with the original Sol avatar cause it caused havoc and was funny.
  11. Wtf... Too much load? You whales need to upgrade from a Commodore 64!
  12. Do they not have the Internet in the US?
  13. Cause shit seems to fit in rooms better when placed against the wall rather than plonked in the middle of the room. Not sure about anyone else, but my setup is only one part of the shit in my room and not the focus of it.
  14. Not over the ear, but certainly are good..... HD25's @ Dick Smith's for $199.95 (delivered) edit... Novation Launchpad for $189 delivered
  15. +1 to Handbrake and 7-zip. http://www.imgburn.com/ Simplest, best disc burning program

    Welcome
  17. Agree with the above
  18. Hey hey
  19. iTunes fan here too. Have tried all the major PC rivals and none deal with big libraries, easy to use/view, and I really can't live without the "genius" features.
  20. Add to group button under your sound
  21. Hey!!! Was waiting for your input on this one.
  22. You might be doing it this way, not sure.... But I right click > add to playlist > select playlist I am coming round to it. Was a shock at first, but I now like the way search works. I do miss not seeing covers in the song listing though.
  23. Also search for blogs that specialise in your chosen genre. Some of the bigger ones get permission to give out tunes free of charge for the exposure the artists gets. Or big names will let them release some of their own mashups/bootlegs. One I use quite a lot is... http://www.thissongissick.com
  24. So triple J Hottest 100 time, and more importantly the lead up to the most fun day of the year, Australia Day. Voting is open and I was surprised by how much EDM I saw on there this year. I don't listen to the J's much these days, but in the last few days I have tuned in and there has been quite a bit of EDM. Anyway, here is my vote.
  25. Really want to have a listen to this but my internets is shaped.
