  1. Yeah i like that hirshee/sue cho one. Just look up sue cho. Also check telephoned. Maggie horn has an amazing voice.
  2. Fair enuff. I hope you understood what i meant by perform live. I mean we all dj live, i mean performing songs live like someone playing an instrument. Except your instrument plays a shyte loads of sounds. Ill post up vid examples later
  3. Hey noob i dont know much about the mixtrack sorry. Also above you mention elements of tracks ie bass, kicks, synths etc. So sounds like you looking to perform live as opposed to mix tracks. Is that correct? Then yes a maschine or one of those ableton controllers sound more like what you want to do. Or are you wishing to just trigger samples during your mix? then any midi pad (and they range from 25 bucks up) will do. But again if you going the controller route a lot of them have buttons built in. Or you can always use your laptops keyboard till you can affird a trigger
  4. ??? I dont get yer comment spitfire. Craze is using the maschine and i wouldnt say it was made for traktor. And the maschine was primarily created for producing. But yeah as it can send midis it can be used as a controller
  5. Umm first up maybe let us know what you want to do. Im assuming you like the midi fighter so you can use hot cues. I believe the S4 and all the other new controllers have plenty of these.. Maschine is an overkill for just hot cues. If you get it to produce and then use as pads on the side then its worth it but just for pads not worth it. So yeah maybe start with what you looking to do, what type of music and people can guide you better.
  6. Yo
  7. Farken hell you a magnet for deals. Can i borrow your luck while i look for a place to buy hahaha
  8. Does it matter though? If some kid gets into lupe and falls in love w hip hop and starts getting into all the fresh stuff, i would say they are no less a hip hop fan just because they dont go back and listen to whodini, melle mel, doc, arabian prince, the fresh prince etc etc. Ive heard people call tupac and biggie as back in the day! But theres nothing wrong with that, thats just when they entered the scene. Again these people are no worse a hiphopper than any other. Sounds have changed and there is no reason why new schoolers have to like the old school.

    TOTD?

    Lovin death set
  10. Does it have ten milli followers and a billion comments.
  11. You can also do that with cdj's if you want refer the artist formerly known as djim
  12. As per lloyds comment. Nothing to do with scratching it was just a way to distinguish their products between dvs and software. What it means is if in the future you decide to buy a cdj or a tt you can use it in your S4 setup and use timecode
  13. ha ha ha i just started doing that and then saw cupe was last commentor. i figured the guys who spent the time doing it should get their own thread so people can give kudos and reviews. he he he you on the ball boss.
  14. i dont know about need but definitely preferred if you want to mix and dont have a dvs (traktor scratch or scratch live). what exactly does it say? sorry man not so clued in with prices but the homies will hop in once theyre done with brekky or in cupe's case dopping bombs.
  15. +rep for that one awesome ...sike yo solIIsol. S4 is now shipping w/ traktor scratch
  16. i think it needs a deep british femal voice describing something gruesome but in a straight/ gps type voice. like how to dismember a body. and yes im being serious. but if you want a rapper, richo does a bit of the check 1,2. though you may be looking for sumthing a little more grimey for that beat then something O Z.
  17. Love shack into dave dobbyn. Well wicked!
  18. Bigg ups west sydney massive. Whats w penrith and radio. I use to catch def wish cast on the radio im pretty sure frm out there. Listening now.
  19. If you really care what others think then Get turntables and then you can give them all shit! Else just buy the best you can for what you can afford and that does what you want to achieve. We can give our opinions based on what we have experienced but in the end what are you wanting mate, and what can you afford. Then just do it
  20. +1 for me. I do this. When i am happy they are matched i might allow the master into the headphone (at say 20%) but still with only one ear on and usually flicking it on off on off.
  21. http://www.soundcloud.com/eggssell But i only post once a year. Its about that time though so better get my ass into gear.
  22. Nice write up. A few comments though. Noise cancellation is important and the more noise cancellation the better as you want to be able to isolate the track you are cuing without being messed up with the monitor. The issue you mention about not realising that the music is off is why you cue with one ear off. And good in-ears are a reasonable solution and even argued a way that you dont have to turn it up as loud and hence so you can save your ears. Djtt had a good article explaining the advantages. Craze and ztrip amongst others use in-ears but of course theirs are professionally moulded ones Other then that nice article. I use xd 53's and they are great
  23. i opted to pay more this FY to hopefully end up without having to owe them i think of it as a savings account without interest Well the vice versa of my comment also stands. If you have to pay it means your company has not been paying enuff each month to the ato. Of course the scenarios make assumptions on the average deduction and really gets messed up if you get bonuses or terminate. But yeah a small refund should be what is aimed for.
  24. Nothing i always ensure my tax return ends up with a very small refund. The bigger the refund actually just means the tax man or the company has had cash that was rightfully yours for the whole year. So i prefer it in my hand during the year.
